I was banned as long as a bunch of friends of mine who heard about the exploit in the CE refund glitch. Personally, im not gonna say im not sad about it, but at the same time oh well. But in my opinion they could've gone a lot of different ways to punish exploiters. I mean i know they have their reasons and its right to ban the exploiters including myself, but permanent ban? really? they couldve easily instantly shut down the server, or gave a less time reminder on server going down to fix it instead of saying something like " server will be shut down in 45minutes, to fix a major or urgent CE bug." By stating that there was a CE bug and that in 45minutes, they will shut down server to fix, thats basically telling everyone playing spiral knights that knew or had friends that knew about the glitch, "attention players, you have 45minutes to choose whether or not you want to abuse this glitch that refunds CE instantly as much as possible in 45minutes."
They obviously realized their mistakes right after that first message cause when it was the 30minute mark message, they changed it and instead of saying directly that it was a CE glitch, they just said and "urgent fix"
I know for typing this that a lot of people will "troll" me or hate on my but i dont care, say what you want, do what you want, i honestly could careless, but just saying this cause i really find it dumb how they handled this, and obviously people will say that they handled it right, but everyone has opinions, not everyone will agree with everyone.

I was only aware of the King Krogmo bug with the CE and figured that's why they were forcing a shutdown.
Was there another glitch I wasn't aware of?

Your FPS example is way off.
It's NOTHING like playing such a game and saying you won't kill anyone.
It's like playing an FPS and using an auto-aim hack that lets you instantly kill other players.
Anyone abusing that system deserves to be banned for life. Simple as that.

@john1111 it was basically the ability to spend as much ce as you want or as much as you had, then get a complete refund for it, still have the items in hand that you spent ce on, and you could repeat, basically you could craft a 5star item for 800ce then get refunded for it but still have that 5star equip and you can spend that 800ce regained somewhere else.

there was no third party programs involved in this, technically speaking we're being punished for their own mistake, like i said in the original post they couldve immediately gave a 5minute warning for server shut down rather than a 45minute window for the news to spread.

over 20 5 star equips on my account... that ce used to craft them didnt come from no where.

You get banned for abusing a glitch that essentially prevents your CE from going down, and say some of the CE you spent didn't come from nowhere?
I like your logic.
Now, while the glitch is their fault, something like this is obviously something you shouldn't abuse, and the terms you agree to for playing include "Thou Shalt Not Abuse Glitches". They have either the option of a total server rollback - which may screw over a lot of legitimate players - or simply banning accounts that abused the glitch. CE is the currency people pay real cash for - so obviously OOO are going to be hard on anybody that manages to duplicate it for free.

@overdingle i crafted the items way before the glitch, the only thing i got out of the glitch was a heat amplfiiers, trinket slots, weapon slots and krogmo coints
@pupu im not directly saying that theres a problem in how they handled the things, im just saying that there were ways to prevent any of this from happening and/or dealing with it differently
cause i know for a fact that there were a big hand full of people that like this game, even loyal to this game in the sense that they play it a lot cause of how its a really good game getting banned.

I ended up getting a warning
I ended up getting a warning about not exploiting things, it said I should report glitches that exploit the game. I knew the glitch but I am not all that sure why I got it, except about 20 minutes before the reboot I told some people I found out what they were rebooting for.

I find it somewhat
I find it somewhat interesting they are reacting like this over this glitch, yet let people farm levels and arenas over and over for a profit of 3k crowns or so a run, which they can use to buy ce and basically gives them free ce and heat.

That may be your opinion, but it is not how things work on SK. Our ToS says so. Keep that in mind.
OP, the forum is not an appropriate place to appeal a ban. Please use the support channels if you wish to do so.
So thts the exact reason... Lucky me I wasn't on because I would have got carried away probably. Sorry to gear this.
