Is the recent update to the game supposed to be taking over an hour to download for people? Cause that's what it's doing for me.

Are you playing in a browser?

Are you playing in a browser? Try clearing your cache.

A lot of people are trying to update, just wait a bit, make sure your internet connection is stable, and don't refresh the page.

Thanks a bunch man, it looks like it's downloading properly now that I've cleared my cache.

EDIT: Agh, it seems it's still acting buggy, it usually gets to a certain random percentage then just stops downloading and slowly builds up.

It sounds like either

It sounds like either server-side traffic is really high, or your internet connection is flaking out on you. Either way, you may just need to give it more time.

Could you edit your original post and change the drop-down menu to Technical Support? That will move this thread to Technical Support, where there are more experienced people to help you out.

*sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait it out, I hope this doesn't happen in future updates.

@Hova: Its just something

@Hova: Its just something you'll have to expect on a patch day for any MMO styled game. The servers have to shutdown to push the new update, which forces everyone off. As soon as that happens, every single one of those players start hitting one web server to pull down update, and flooding the authentication server (along with the player database system) with login requests.

People also have a bad habit of spamming login attempts when the system isn't ready to accept them yet. It floods the network with TCP requests, acting like a psudo-DDOS against the server. The after affects linger for another 10-15 minutes as it slowly works through flood of requests and lets people in.
