So I get the impression that the Divine avenger and the Leviathan Blade are the best swords in the game.
I also get the impression that the best bombs are Shivermist and nitronome..
I'm not sure which are the best guns.. as it seems like there are quite few which are decent.
which other weapons would you consider to be the best?
Honestly, it depends since different weapons fill different roles.
Personally, I like the Glacius out of my swords, and the Polaris out of my guns.
There's is only the weps that are best for you.not everyone.Because it depends on your battle style and your tactics.
Caliber line is my style but my friend's style is the cutter line.everyone have their own style.
I run around T3 with DA/BTB/Acheron/Valiance~ there is no one best sword, its all situational. For example in a beast or devil situation BTB owns and is the 'best' but i wouldn't use it against slime/constructs...
For me, Bombs have to be the Freezing Vaporizer line. Freezing is really useful for arenas.
Swords would have to be Calibur line, but Avenger line looks really cool too.
Guns for me are the Pulsar and Firotech Alchemer Lines.

Dread Venom Striker:
Level 10 almost max damage + the poison effect witch will eventually hurt you no matter how hard your armor is or how many life you have.
Speed Level 10 is amazing, Fastest weapon ever.
Combine it with Skolver set = Legendary
@kikoski Poison doesn't actually hurt monsters, it just temporarily debuffs their stats and keeps them from healing (even then not entirely, menders and wings just get a reduction to amount healed).
Back to M_Yaa_M's question, you can read the master gunslinger threads to get a sense how good guns are. Like almost all items they have their strengths and weaknesses.
Callahan: One of the best solutions against piercing weak enemies that dodge (devilites, wolvers), piercing instead of normal means weak against slime and construct.
Argent Peacemaker: One of the prime choices for FSC, limited functionality elsewhere.
Polaris: Another prime choice for FSC as well. Good defensive gun though tricky in parties due to knockback. Bad against quicksilvers. Specialized damage like Callahan.
Storm/hail driver: Both solid elemental guns which are more party friendly than Polaris and with the choice of ice instead of shock. Specialized damage again.
Valiance: Best all-round gun if only because it does normal damage and keeps you mobile. Supernova might be better/worse depending on how knockback interacts with parties.
Supernova: Don't have experience with it, in theory might be better than valiance if you can make use of area of effect damage, which gives higher damage per second. Only reason why I don't have one is because I had a Valiance already and the option to turn my pulsar into a polaris.
I just named the ones that seem most useful and between I'd pick.
for swords, i would prefer to use my ascended calibur(almost levi). its charge is very useful for knocking back enemies and it looks cool.
