I have no idea about a sudaruska, but the triglav has gotten mixed feelings from me. I though I saw on the wiki that the sudaruska has those rock things come up from the ground, which sounds sweet. No idea if it'd be any help, but you guys are welcome to add me in game (just let me know in the friend invite) and I'll attempt to answer any triglav questions or show it to you.
Sudaruska vs. Triglav
I'll just ask these two questions here;
1) Can you roughly describe the charge attack of triglav for us?
2) Can it freeze on any attack or just charge attacks?
1)
1. Same as troika, more ice and snow though.
2. if it freezes mobs, they stay in place, they don't get knocked back
3. really good chance of freezing on charge atk
2)
1. I've seen it freeze on the second swing, not often though
2. I almost want to say it's like the curse from the faust, only second swing counts
hope this helps. I've never had a troika or any of it's line, just got it last night. So I have no idea if the other lines knock mobs crazy far away. But when it's charge doesn't freeze, it can knock them pretty damn far.
Wait, the by "same as troika", are you saying that the 5* Triglav's charge attack doesn't have rocks?
The Sudaruska has the rock effect, except unlike the old Khorovod, the rocks come out along the sword instead of randomly around you.
More to the point, are you talking Triglav, or an earlier sword in the line?
Because the 3* or 4* wouldn't be a good comparison to Sudaruska.
I am indeed talking about the triglav, the 5* version. It lacks rocks, unless if I'm missing something. As I said if you want to see it on floor 9 of something, or in the training hall add me to friends.
Oh that's interesting. I wonder what a damage comparison between the two swords is like then (slash1, slash2, charge attack).
Ice + rocks is a frighteningly powerful combination so I was kind of afraid that the Triglav would just shadow the Sudaruska with that.
In that case, it almost feels like the Triglav would be a bit behind in terms of damage and (situational) safety - especially if it's slash 2 that freezes (since the knockback is what even gives slash2 for the troika line any safety)
... Or is it a faster sword than Sudaruska?
hmm, well I can say that slash 2 freeze is uncommon. I'd love to compare the dmg with someone with a sudaruska. I don't know which is better, but I am slightly leaning towards the suda just because it has rocks.
ok, I've seen it in-game courtesy of Ziloh.
Everything he's said appears to be true, though demonstrations were a little hard in the advanced training hall.
The Triglav doesn't spawn any projectiles with the charge attack, so unless the single swing damage is higher, the charge attack is weaker than Sudaruska's. That said, Triglav can freeze with the basic combo's last hit - according to the wiki notes on Sudaruska, it only inflicts stun with the charge attack.
Needs more damage tables.
I've never done/helped a dmg table. If anyone could explain what I'd have to do to fill one in, I'd be more than happy to. I'm very interested in comparing this to the sudaruskas damage.
Well, I remember I saw someone in game with a Sudaruska, If I rememebr correctly his name was "Mytaginhalo" so uh, maybe you could message him to help with wiki damage tables or something.
Just a note on the wiki damage tables;
As far as I understand, damage is recorded with a level 10 weapon with no damage bonuses where possible, on the first and last floor of each strata.
Though I'm not familiar with uploading the data onto the wik, namely dealing with the templates and such; maybe if you posted the damage table on the wiki editor's forums they could upload it for you.
ahh ok, I'll have to get this thing to 10 heat then. Thanks, hopefully it'll be done in a few hours/tomorrow depending how sleepy I get.
not just winmillion. I'd love to see radiant sun shards get 5*.
I wouldn't be surprised if both had the same attack, seeing as the main difference is the status, but its still worth testing. And Radiant Sun Shards used to be 5* but it got knocked down a star level (since it went from 3* to 5* with nothing in between)
Sudaruska's rocks are fake. They're just there for the graphic.
Khorovod's multiple-hit rock attack is gone forever.
----
Isn't that great news everyone? There's finally a gun better than a 5* sword: Blitz needle is more dangerous than a Sudaruska any day now, except vs constructs and jellies.
If that's the case, the two swords might really be equal in damage after all. are you speaking from experience?
Yeah, I spent a while trying to get the multi hit to happen and after a bunch of stages (FSC, of all places to try this), it really isn't multiple hit.
I don't see what the point of the rock graphic is anymore :x
Probably to make it look special, like the Triglav creates a zone of ice that does nothing.
Guess I have to re-update the wiki pages I edited.
The Khorovod and Sudaruska Stun components also appear to be missing from the tooltip
-It always has.
-I just noticed that the Sudaruska has a circly zone around the landing point now. I believe this denotes the range of the charge attack's effect.
In essence, the only differences between these swords is that with the Sudaruska, the charge attack will knock monsters clear across the room, at which point they may be stunned and therefore not be able to run right back over immediately..
Whereas the Triglav will freeze the monster in place, at which point you can either ignore it, fight other things, and let it take damage from de-thawing, or you can walk around to the monster's flank and do the two hit combo, at which point since it is frozen the first attack will not knock it away and then the second attack will (unless it doesn't. But apparently that's rare?)
So, Sudaruska for clearing room and Triglav for either stopping things cold or majorly brutalizing one poor monster. Does that sound about right?
More or less. If the damage is equal, the difference is the status effects - Sudaruska will send a monster flying with a chance of stunning it, while Triglav will either send the monster flying or freeze it in place.
Triglav will require more thinking to use; you'll want to blindside monsters so if they get frozen then can't immediately retaliate. Sudaruska, at the least, will always make sure they're far away from you. On the other hand, because freezing the monster means you don't have to move to attack it again, I'm going to say Triglav will have higher dps.
Quick edit for clarity: Triglav doesn't have a 100% freeze rate on the charge attack; when it doesn't freeze it causes as much knockback as Sudaruska.
on my steamacount i have recip for both an i mean triglav is better because freeze is better than stun and the triglav is more rare and you Need for it 300 krogmo coins (and i have it :)
P.s: triglav have ever a knockbak and can freez so if you frezze an Enemy it will still get far Away from you
I have the Jalovec. I thought for a long time on which alchemy path to take and chose freeze. I am very glad i made this decision, i was impressed with the slime damage on both Grintovec and Jalovec. The freeze is quite powerful, but a bit rare. I also believe the freezing path is much more attractive. The Jalovec has AMAZING knockback. The charge does about 400 damage to large slimes, and sends them flying away from you. I look forward to the Triglav, and recomend the freeze path to any knight out there.
I'm glad that you like it, but let's just clarify one thing: It does the same damage to slimes as to every other monster.
Sudaruska's weapon bio does not mention Stun effect at all. And its ability to do so appears to be at random. I've seen on many occasion it stunning for 0 seconds, similar to the Swarm on Players.
Needs fixin'?
damnit, who was the idiot that necroe'd this?
@tfspriterfbf no, she either freezes or sends the target flying.
"Sudaruska's weapon bio does not mention Stun effect at all."
You mean the "Sudaruska" article on the wiki? It mentions stun in two places.
the necroer is tfspriterfbf. just so you guys get a place to aim your axes at.
Unless the charge attacks are significantly different, I imagine it's simply Freeze vs Stun, both of which are decent on slow weapons - either would let you land charge attacks one after another without any real worries.
Now, we really have to wait for people to start updating the wiki with info on Triglav. Personally, that's the one I'll choose anyways; I prefer freeze over stun, and if you've seen it you know it just looks awesome.
Edit: Just saw Sudaruska's image on the wiki. That looks awesome too. Still choosing Triglav.
