Anyone here think people get less bark modules on a lower average than Jelly Gems, etc because of the lag?

Yes this is another complaint about the network lag in general and in Ironclaw Munitions Factory in light of those that hate people complaining about lag http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/19182 , yes. It was lagging the first weeks it was introduced based on one thread I googled and from my own experience, and going back recently, it is still lagging. Even if it is about the client lagging behind the server, it still puzzles me that a 2d game still lags more than a complicated 3D game such as Resident Evil 5 online or even Left 4 Dead. I guess you can still lag with 2d games more often than 3d games from my experience even if you do peer to peer connections, and sometimes we couldn't connect at all, that being a router hardware issue, which isn't much of a problem now with his new router his brother got years ago. And out of all places it had to be the one where you take one of the heaviest damages, that being from the missiles, volt jellies, and constructs, etc. I had to shield non-stop and pray I didn't have it break or land in one of the volt hazardous floors.

I thought getting the bark modules would be a great plan for me, but so far I haven't gotten successful in beating Roarmulus Twins(got them both in the 2nd phase and almost killed one of them). I tried 2 more times to get to them, but the lag made me hopeless and I just sort of didn't feel like playing. I had thoughts in my head about the developers intentions, like is this why they have health boxes in intervals(cause without the lag, the stages would be a lot easier), but those would be needed of course. Or perhaps they need the lag here to make bark modules harder to get. I don't know, man, that plan towards making faster crowns has been broken now. Guess it's time to go back and do Jelly runs probably without fighting the Jelly King(I don't think people that join after I turned off "lock party" at the end of depth 16 will appreciate what I did; not to mention if they die before me, I'll hear complaints about how I didn't help them just cause I didn't have enough ce if we both end up dying at the Jelly King).

Vanaduke lags too.

Vanaduke's 2nd Depth is heavy in enemies, traps, and animated scenery as well. Lag is a pretty nasty thing when you're fighting quick enemies or obstacles that require precise footing, so I feel your pain :(

I guess OOO should

I guess OOO should decentralize the servers and offer servers for Europa Asia and South America.

This way people outside USA would experience less lag when communicating their "movement" to the server.

Unless you are from America... in which case I don't know how do you experience such bad lag, in my case I only experience lag when it's raining or when a new update was recently added.

The widespread Ironclaw

The widespread Ironclaw Munitions Factory issues are not network lag. The game client has memory leaks that over time cause it to become increasingly slow and frameskippy, if you've ever seen the entire screen freeze up for a second or two and then you're halfway across a room that's a frameskip. If you run the game client long enough every area will start to become as bad as IMF. The reason it's so bad in there is because it's a very poorly-optimized area and heavy on the graphics processor, causing the issue to occur much sooner than it would in a normal area. The way to fix this is to restart your game client before starting the run in order to free up whatever memory it's leaked up to that point. You should also close any web browsers you have open, most of them leak memory too. You'll also want to move quickly through the levels in order to minimize the memory leaks as much as possible. Reducing your quality setting to low and turning on compatibility mode will also slow down the leaking.

Note that it's still possible to get network lag in IMF just like any other area- be sure to analyze your symptoms to tell the difference. Network lag results in rubberbanding and being hit by things that looked farther away than they really were. Graphical slowdown, choppiness, and frameskipping are what most people report for IMF and are not network lag.
