My friend's having an issue that when he's playing Spiral Knights, he doesn't see the message popup in the corner when someone messages him through Steam.
It works fine for me (when I'm in game, I still see the little box).

I was wondering if anyone else had that issue, and if so, how to fix it.

In steam there is a setting

In steam there is a setting where you can check the box "Display Notification". I believe his is probably unchecked.

He could have notifications

He could have notifications disabled, or he could have disabled steam community in-game. Those are the ones that'd do it; if it's only the latter it'll only stop him seeing the messages in fullscreen.
