There's stuff in the folder
There's stuff in the folder that indicates there is or was something called 'Energy Cells' in the works.
These may be cells that drop during play that give you small amount of energy.
There's no graphics or any other form of data to clarify anything beyond a folder name.

Minigames that cost 0 energy or something would be cool. It would also be cool if they gave some coins (shouldn't give too much though).

Yeah because people usually log out after they have 0 energy. Logging out=less money for three rings
The more time your on the more likely you are to buy energy. And maybe you start with one or two mini-games then you use crowns or energy to buy the others but it's a one time buy after that it's completely free, And your energy can up while play mini games.

You have to buy Crystal Energy with crowns or real money if you want to play more. It is separate from your 100 units of energy that replenish over time.
You can find Crystal Energy merchants in every town.
