Hi there guys
I seem to be having very strange latency issues when it comes to playing Blast Network.
During normal gameplay, I have no problems at all attacking, moving around or anything related to latency.
But as soon as I play a Blast Network match, my character moves around stutery, when I die, my character jumps back about 4 or 5 rows, meaning that I wasnt where I actually was (displayed on my side)
Its quite frustrating as I make sure that im NEVER in line with a bomb and then suddenly I die...
If there could be some kind of patch to fix this, that would be spectacular, I love the idea of the PVP and im very much for it, I just wish I could play it more (which I havnt because of the delay issues)
Thanks !
The only real way to get around that is to have very very low latency. I have more detailed explanations in other threads, but the basic problem is the same feature that compensates for lag in the clockworks heavily works against you in the blast network due to map design. I'm sure you've been rubber banded before when turning a sharp corner. Basically the entire map is sharp corners and your now moving 50% faster.
Another painful fact is that, by design, knights stop moving when placing bombs. Because of the increased speed of the drop, you can start moving again faster in the Blast Network, but server sees you standing in that spot until the next update packet telling it your trying to move. If you have high speed boosts, the desync can get extremely bad and forces the server to push corrections to the client.... which whips you back to where the bomb is.
