(Hopefully this is in the right section but if not sorry ^_^) I would like to record some boss battles sometimes but something with pretty good quality but doesnt lag, switching to low quality is no issue.Thanks.
What do you use to record boss battles?
You reccomend to take off the watermark with? Ive heard of Fraps but I wouldlike to here from other users who use it. Thanks for the suggestion.
I used Fraps, but it's terrible, so I switched to CamStudio, which I haven't used yet.
Eliminates fraps, coudl you let me know when you do use camstudio?THe only thing im worried about bandicam is the watermark and every 10 mins thing.
It's all about the graphics card, if you have a decent one...fraps should be ok. It's trial is only 30 seconds per vid though...
For eliminating watermarks, I guess you would use something like Sony Vegas.
use bandicam because it has less lag.
Everyone knows that you can only record for 10 min if you don't have the free version but you can just get a video editor and put it together
I mean you're only close to two years too late on this... MEGA-necro powers, go!
the perfformance is dependant on 2 things:
1. your hardware.
i think most importnant is processor power, ram and hardisk speed.
2. capture setings
most importnant is framerate, resolution and encoding parameters
so if u have i5 cpu with 8 gigs ram and ssd disk i think u wont lag with any software.
if u dont wana pay for fraps and u hate the owerlay and other limits, i have tip for u.
u can use great open source capture tool glc ( https://github.com/nullkey/glc/wiki )
u can check some videos which i made with glc on my utube channel (i have old intel dual core with 4 gb ram)
sadly glc is only for linux atm.
or u can buy cheap hardware card for capturing. somethink like this:

thats all. sorry for my english.
I heard Fraps is getting better, but I guess you could try bandicam. It doesn't cause as much lag, if any usually...at least in other games.
So basically every 10 minutes just press the hotkey for recording. It leaves a watermark, but that's editable.
