Everyday, fellow Knights on Cradle hurt and abuse poor, poor Gun Puppies, innocent Gun Puppies, helpless Gun Puppies, so please, won't you be the savior of one of these poor creatures?
And so because of that, this thread is the thread for adopting your own Gun Puppy, or stating which Gun puppies you've adopted.
I mean, you'd have to been entirely heartless not to adopt a cute, cute, Gun Puppy whenever you get the chance! There cheeks are just so pinch able and mechanical! I don't know anyone who would just leave a Gun Puppy behind all sad and lonely...the very thought is horrible!

Format:
What the name of your adopted Gun Puppy is.
What type of Gun Puppy it is (Example: Sparky, Red Rover, Love Puppy, etc.)
Any defining characteristics/traits.
What there favorite thing to do (If any) is.
Where you found your Gun Puppy.

I've already adopted one:
Name: Sparkles
Type: A Sparky
Defining characteristics/traits: Sparkles has a bark that sounds like an Electric Guitar being strung (Unique, huh?).
Favorite thing to do: Well, Sparkles just LOVES shooting bullets at overwhelmed knights.
Where I found my Gun Puppy: Well, I was fighting this Tier 2 Arena when all of a sudden this Turret popped up, however it wasn't shooting at me and it looked hurt, like it had already been beaten a little by previous Knights, so I took it in with me to repair and just couldn't let it go after that.

Oh, and feel free to comment on others Gun Puppies.

Name: Sequesta Type: Rocket

Name: Sequesta
Type: Rocket Puppy
Defining characteristics/traits: She has a slight pinkish tinge to her metal skin and I swear I see tiny tears come from her eyes.
Favourite thing to do: She loves to shoot rockets at knights, but her rockets never hurt me. They merely circle around and around and explode just close enough for me to feel her heat.
Where I found my Gun Puppy: I was traveling through Firestorm Citadel as I usually do and was on depth 25. I talked to the faerie and proceeded to the rocket puppy room since I like to start there. I walked in and to me surprise the rocket puppy was already looking at me when I walked in. She fired and I ran around trying to dodge it only to realize it didn't intend to hurt me. I destroyed the blocks blocking Sequesta and I as it readied its second missile. I stood perfectly still as the missile merely warmed me with the explosion. It was then I knew I had found her. I sat down and from that moment we've been gazing into each others eyes, hoping for the day when I can get to her.

Name: SE-601 Type: A Rocket

Name: SE-601
Type: A Rocket Puppy
Characteristics/Traits: Shy and has a light blue tint
Favorite thing to do: Lets just say there are dead snipes where ever i go.
Where I found my Gun Puppy: I was doing a FSC run and it was in the upper right corner. I wasn't even going to go into that room but I thought it was a different color so I peak in and it sees me. So I run out of there and forget about it. After I open the way and make my to leave it appears in front of me. I was like WTF!!! So i run to the gate but it keeps following me, disapearing underground behind me and reapearing in front of me. I manage to survive and make it to the next depth. I clear the lava there and put the statue on the presure plate and there is it past the gate, I figure that I'll just kill it so I start to attack it but then it goes under the floor again. It does not come back up so i figure that it is gone so i go to the next room and start the round and I start killing zombies. I notice the floor move and a rocket comes out. I die so fast and go up. Next time I go down it is there so I just stop and watch it. It does not move so I start to move towards it and as I pass it turns to watch me go. That was like a month ago and I see him often now and he helps me when I need help. He has become more like my friend. I did not call him anything at first but then I saw SE-601 on his side so I started calling him that. He is shy by nature so he follows me from the ground.

Fallout? what are you on about.

Name:Annabelle
Type:Rocket Puppy
Defining characteristics/traits:She was stationary turret used in the annexation of the clockworks by the Gremlins set up near rock jellies on an overpass in the starlight . The markings and stars indicate Annabelle's victims, and is only identified from others with the crudely etched "Annabelle" on it's head. Annabelle has double the health of a regular Missile hound, but is occasionally clumsy and is often stuck with recoil. Annabelle comes with glow in the dark instructions with a drawing of her designed with phosphorescent paint.
Favourite thing to do: Destroying everything.
Where I found my Gun Puppy: I purchased Annabelle -I should say 'obtained' her- from an invisible Darkfang Thwacker using her as a mobile weapon.

Her friends include Euclid; the laser puppy who fell along with the spiral knights, Maria; with 90% guidance systems and Pew-Pew, who just likes to fire and listen to the sound he makes ;)

Puppies need more love!

Name: Naimu-01
Type: Slush Puppy

. . .

How we met:
One of my longer travels brought me through an infested Cooling Chamber portion of the lower Clockworks, ridden with Ice Cube Jellies-- which was more or less why I aimed to go this route, as the symbiotic armor I wear-- that of the Deadly Virulisk, not simple armor but a living suit that breathes with me and shares my thoughts and emotions-- hungers especially for Slimes, and as we function as one and the same being, my Virulisk Suit's hunger is my own, and I must feed it with the shambling watery creatures.

My Umbra Driver primed, I set out and began my hunt. Our hunt. The sweep went extremely well; anything that made a sound remotely similar to a squish or a splash was quickly vaporized before I even put myself at risk, and a Skolver Alpha did give me a workout at one point, but I managed to silence it with a lucky backhand strike from my blessed golden blade before I took a serious injury. I'm not usually so fortunate.

The final stretch of the floor was what disrupted my steeled nerves. Before me, looming amidst the snowy haze, was one of those long, twisty catwalks littered with Gun Puppy sentries and spikes-- NEVER a fun mile to run, and when the things are Rockets, hoooh... *shudders* Don't even get me started, I'll rant your ear off with all the things just horridly WRONG with the fact that they even exist. But the good news, the silver lining to this cloud, was they were not Rocket Puppies, they were all normal, and some of them were "Slush Puppies". Ice shooters. Made sense in an area like this.

My symbiotic armor and I both sighed in exasperation, and then went to work, cleaving our way down the catwalk, one Puppy at a time, rending it up into scraps before continuing on to the next one, ever mindful of the floor-needles that regularly intruded on our progress. I started to actually get angry when about a dozen Gremlin Thwackers jumped in out of nowhere on both sides of me, attempting to catch me in a pincer formation, and it was a frightening battle indeed, probably couldn't have lived through it without setting off all those Agnis. By the end of it I was pretty satisfied to see the last of them burn to death right in front of me at the mercy of my handy explosives. I don't HATE Gremlins, but... they're gonna pull a stunt like THAT then it serves 'em right.

Whoo. Area cleared. Time to finish picking up the spoils and... wait a minute. As I neared the Elevator I realized I missed some of the Puppies, and, not partial to messing up a perfect Sweep, turned back to finish it up. That's when I realized they weren't actually sweepable-- probably sweepable with a broom, but they weren't armed or hostile or needed slashing, they were mere bits of half-wrecked Gun Puppy scrap metal. It wasn't hard to assume the Gremlins were the ones that set up all the Puppies to begin with, and they must have been using this space next to the Elevator as the trash heap when they needed to replace one or whatever. I looked around at all the bits and pieces of various Gun Puppy limbs, thoughtlessly discarded here, and to be honest I felt a little queasy thinking about how insensitive the Gremlins were to their creations; being a Virulisk symbiote myself, I understand how REAL many monsters' feelings are, and even the mechanical ones must experience a sense of pain or emotion...

I froze. Something was whining... What in the world? One of the scrapped Puppies was still ACTIVATED! That's right! I scanned with my eyes and the Virulisk's sensitive night-vision, and sure enough, thrown harshly in the corner was a Puppy scrap that was still almost a fully intact Gun Puppy, and its eyes were flickering on and off and it was weakly whimpering! I couldn't BELIEVE it, how the hell could they throw this thing away and not even notice it was still alive!? Not even have the courtesy to deactivate it first so it didn't have to just LIE here and slowly die as its power reserves waned to nothing?? Right here, my fury was colder than any of the Slimes I had vaporized here, and the next time I encounter a Gremlin village this deep in the Clockworks I intend to extract a heavy ransom born of self-righteous vengeance, starting with their youngest children.

Deeply disturbed by the machine's obvious unbelievable delirious pain, I carefully scooped up the tattered, dying Gun Puppy in my thick, scaly paws, holding it close to my heart as I approached the Elevator that would take us back to Haven a little earlier than I planned that day. The moment its steel touched my reptilian body, I felt as though an iron weight had suddenly hit me in the stomach, but without the pain; this thing was FRIGID, not from being in the relentless snow for so long, either, it was clearly generating the chill from inside its machinery. This was a Slush Puppy model. How convenient-- a cold-blooded symbiote such as myself would be hard pressed to keep one of these for long, it'd typically cause more harm than good, but at the very least I couldn't let it die out here. Punch or Vice in the Haven would know what to do with it, maybe they'd even take it in and raise it to health themselves? Something. Anything.

But when I got back to the Haven... I don't know what it was, but, I found myself sitting with it by the fountain in the Town Square, the Slush Puppy cradled to me, both of us gazing at the rolling clouds overhead, and I saw that the Slush Puppy was not in pain like it had been, and was cuddled tight to me like a child... which I found was actually my own doing, it was still not attached to a surface and instead, I was... holding it close. Cherishing it. Without having thought about it.

And I knew at that moment there was no way I could part with her.

Instead I took her home with me and channeled a good 300 Crystal Energy into her from my own reserves to get her on her feet, so to speak, then spent the following 10 straight hours painstakingly repairing her broken or damaged limbs and parts and nuts and screws, piece by piece, program by program, with the same precision as when I was back in the Clockworks artistically destroying one Gun Puppy after the other, but this time it wasn't destructive, it was the opposite, I was saving the Slush Puppy's life instead of rending it, putting twice as much passion into the task at hand as I had in the Clockworks, as if trying to privately make up for my destructive acts...

And as the sun rose the next morning, only then did I finally sit down and admire the mechanical creature in her finished, revamped state.

She gave a robotic, though melodic and strangely emotional howl of joy. A cool icy wind brushed against me as she cried out, relieving me from the sweat I had worked up... it felt like she was caressing me with the breeze she generated.

We just gazed at each-other for a while.

And then I broke down like a complete and utter wussy, throwing myself around her, my whole body burning up with emotional relief as I hugged and cuddled and loved my new Slush Puppy companion, my new best friend, whom had been given a second chance. And the tears flowed and flowed and would not stop, until I felt them freeze upon my face mid-flow from the cold air she continuously gave off, and even then did I make no effort to wipe the frosty shards away, as I simply wanted to hold my Slush Puppy and never let go, until we both fell asleep at the same time in that strange, yet beautiful embrace that felt absolutely 100% genuine and right, more than anything in the whole world.

. . .

Characteristics/Traits:
She's very quiet-- I'm not positive whether the traumatic experience of being abandoned without any Mist reserves scared her and made her quiet, or whether it's a hardware or software problem in her voice chips that I couldn't fix, but her yips are always a very low volume, sort of like a stereo that has a left speaker set on 50% and a right speaker on 10%. She can't really shoot bullets very well either anymore. I'm not a mechanic so I couldn't exactly rebuild her into a perfect combat model, but I did save her life, and you'd easily notice she's extremely people-friendly (Knight-friendly), unlike typical Clockworks Gun Puppies. Her plating is extremely shiny now that I polished her up, but always coated in a thin layer of ice crystals, so when it's dark out she almost looks like she's shimmering.

I've fastened her to a pedestal in my home, which is where she resides, but she's made to easily come loose so I can carry her places, running on Mist or Crystal Energy for the time she's detached. No matter who's holding her at any moment, you can feel her relax against your body as if she's hugging or nuzzling you-- she seems to love Knights so passionately that she would probably die of loneliness if she were left alone. Also, whenever she turns to face you when she notices you, it's never creepy or ominous or even startling, it's always just... genuine. And very curiosity-driven. As if everyone she sees is love at first sight for her. Her eyes gleam the same bright blue as the Mist and Crystals we use to sustain ourselves, but her gaze is so deep and full of expression too, moreso than they programmed or built into her as a machine for sure. It's no question that she has a soul, even though she's a robot; maybe she developed one over time, maybe not, but it's there and you can feel it just by being close to her, soaking in the cool air and gentle, honest love for all living things she perpetually radiates.

. . .

Favored Pasttime(s):
Besides being wherever Knights are and basking in their presence and affection, she loves quietly gazing at the clouds rolling over Haven. She seems to deeply enjoy it when it rains, too, and whines and motions towards the rain when it's raining, wanting to be placed outside and let the rain wash over her as she gazes silently into the dark skies, an expression of content on her features as if the rain is singing a calming lullaby to her. Then she seems distressed when the rain stops, but only for a moment.

She loves new things. She regards everything with such curiosity, but she seems to go crazy with joy whenever she sees something she's never seen before. As a machine, she most likely remembers everything she sees as the memories imprint into her internal database of sensations, but strangely she never gets bored with anything, ever. Punch and Vice have theorized, after a bit of diagnostic work, that part of her brain that controls her comprehension routines were irreparably damaged, so that everything feels new to her on an emotional level, even if not on an intellectual one. Knowing her, it's a damage she would welcome and refuse to have fixed if it really causes the feelings it does for her.

And lastly, Naimu-01 detests seeing pain, probably knowing what a world of it feels like for so much of her existence. She appears to be able to tell when a Knight is hurting, and loves to comfort them with her gentle presence if they'll let her. Many Knights tell her their secrets or fears or problems when they don't have anyone else to turn to, and she just listens to them as they spill out their hearts. This would probably be her favorite pasttime; her happy reaction to it is the most quiet out of all her other joys, and is instead in a great deal of thought when she's listening to someone vent, so it's clearly something she values so much more than the fleeting inspirations of passing clouds or falling rain.

Her name, Naimu-01, was named this way. She was listening to a girl Knight who was feeling upset that she had an older sister with the same name as her (Naimu) who had been sent to the Clockworks and was never seen again. Her parents had told her she was "their second Naimu" and it made her feel like her life was a lie and they only saw her as a thing instead of a Knight. The Slush Puppy silently agreed to be Naimu's "first Naimu" when Naimu asked if she would; plus the "01" digits inscribed in reeeeally tiny text behind her right earpiece helped solidify the name. They've been amazing friend ever since.

Personaltys it likes to burn up snipers and sets fire for my food and camps.
I was in one of my tier two runs when I came to a very annoying theme.Fire, I was extremely sad because fire can wipe my shield clean. When I saw a flame turret activate I slayed it but It was detached from the ground. It seems to be whimpering and harmless.I then decided to bring it back to haven.we became very good friends and had good times.

Yeah, it makes me sad that this thread isn't getting as much attention as it deserves. :( It's an amazing idea. I even PMed all my buddies to try to show them and most of them were like "WUT"

Ah well. Hopefully I'll get to do something with Naimu-01 in roleplaying, now that I've breathed life into her here in post... ^^ What did you think of mine anyway, Siya?

Also, there's no such thing as a "Flame Puppy". That's not what they're called. >_< I don't call Naimu-01 an "Ice Puppy", that would probably annoy her even if she was too gentle to show it.

@Schwa

I guess people just don't want to adopt a cuddly Gun Puppy. v.v

And, I thought yours was a very very good one, VERY descriptive and definitely enticing to read, and I think you should use her in role play now that she's been created, probably a companion you keep strapped to your back? I dunno, but I'm sure you can come up with something. :p
