I may skip the rescue camp altogether unless it's changed significantly.
I know for a fact that the level you play before getting to Haven has changed.
It's no longer a generic level with a chance of a Danger Room.

I'll be playing it all over again for sure, taking my time and enjoying every second of it.
I'll probably replay it, use it a chance to make new friends.
I will be replaying it all, to see if I can get it right this time around. I still consider myself new to the game anyways, having never ventured to Tier 3.
I skipped the Rescue Camp the first time I played, I'll most likely skip it again. Im not a fan of Game tutorials, especially if I already know how to play. B)
well i wouldnt pass it cause i want to gateher some shards and to meet any friend or to see the story again and undetand it better
I skipped it the first time might do it this time for fun lol idk.
Are the tutorial maps unique? I can't remember. I think I rather save the CE for an arcade gate or something that has a depth or three or more at least.
Speaking of which, do the drops get better in each strata / tier based on the current depth? I know that the monsters change from one tier to another, so the drops change then, but are the drops better in a depth 6 vs a depth 5 mission? Even if marginally so?
When I originally created my knight, there was no rescue camp so I made a new knight to check it out. It went on wayyy too long and I couldn't finish it. I'll probably end up skipping the rescue camp unless I spot some friends to adventure with.
The tutorial maps are built just for the tutorials. To the extent that they are tutorials at all, as opposed to just a newbie adventuring area, it's because they have signs posted here and there. I will probably skip them, but I might run sparrow gate before I go across.
@Rose... I don't think the rescue camp is very long for people that have been through it once already - it's reading all the long explanations of basic stuff that makes it long. If you don't read, it's just some very shallow levels. ;) (Yes, yes, I know, not reading would defeat the purpose of 'checking it out'... )
I'll probably play through them quickly just to see....besides, I'll take every piece of loot I cant get my grubby little hands on :P
Just to confirm, the tutorial elevators do cost energy, right? Like 5 energy each? It was something reduced from what I remember.
If so I might skip them...
The tutorial elevators cost energy. They cost me 2 each because of how late I joined in those cheap final days, but I'm pretty sure I read that they cost 5 energy in one of the conversations with the rescue camp characters.
I'm going to do it again. One, because I am fairly new and two, just in case they have added or changed anything.
Definite skip for me. Not enough crowns to energy ratio.
YOU COULD SKIP IT!?!?!?!?!! OOOH MAN!!!!
I played through all the tutorial gates the first time. Mostly to get a feel of everything and to try to get into the story. But no, I'm headed straight to Haven's Arcade. I had fun running through Firefly gate though :D
Do you get the Mist Tank Refill from completing all the tutorial? Or would you still get it if you choose to skip?
You get a Mist Tank for entering haven regardless of whether or not you finished the tutorial..
great, thanks. Skipping it is then :-)
I'm doing it over again completely because I am OCD like that. I also like to click every possible NPC chat combination so I know I'm getting everything finished (including the Vendors), since we can never go back to the tutorial. I'm kind of OCD with these sorts of things. I will also finish each gate at least once, leaving no survivors, because I'm pretty OCD about it.
Lol Aeca, that is pretty OCD. I understand your point to that, in my younger age I would of done the same. Now I dont give a crap what NPC"s have to say and just want to get to the action part. It's why I cant play RPG's anymore either cuz I just skip all the text then im like "Wtf am I supposed to be doing?" :P
Oh believe me, I'm too old for it too, but it has nothing to do with age anyways. Even in my older days I can see myself not leaving the rocking chair, until the amount of sways is divisible by the Fibonacci number closest to the cube of the day of the month.
I don't think I'm gonna have a run at it again. I'll just go down to one gate just to get some crowns and just buy a bomb and a better sword.
I'm not sure. I want to say that I'll skip it the second time, but my wife may start playing and she may want to actually go through the tutorial to learn the game and if she does, I'll go through it with her. We'll see come Friday I suppose.
Ditto what Aeca said lol
NPC : Do you have any more questions?
ME : Yes, i have the following
Question 1 (Back)
Question 2 (Back)
Question 3 (Back)
Nope, no more for now... ;D
Someone who understands!
I also like to (have to) complete each combination with the "Exit" option:
I have optimized my clicking sequence while ensuring all non-repeating combinations are execu- ... what are you staring at?
i will definably play it all over again... like Paska say Enjoy every second of the game! I truly Love this online game and i will enjoy everything it has to offer its players. Amen!
The word you're looking for is 'definitely' and it contains neither the letter 'a' nor the letter 'b'. (*cough* Not that that's my pet peeve spelling error or anything... ) And if I'm correct in understanding that you don't -need- to do the tutorials to get your first energy tank when you go into haven, then, only sparrow gate (which I would kinda like to do again anyway) offers a reasonable reward for the time and (mist) energy invested if you're not actually learning the ropes. The rest of rescue camp, eh. Onward to haven!
As far as enjoying every second of the game... there's endless adventures to be had in the game, but my real time is limited. I'd rather spend it in the real clockworks than rehashing the same instructions!
You win! hands down to your OCDness! lol
shall meet in game sometime at the tutorials next to some NPC with lots to say ;D
Definebaly!!!! I agree! Although, I will spend my hard Payed for energy on real clockwork levels, and let all the players like Crazzy do the tutorials :P. No offense or anything, but..... Tutorials are not my thing, i'd rather spend my time bonje jumping! :P

i loled
Ah, Game0ver... One day you will look back on these times, gazing upon all the emptiness that would have been tutorials, and you will ask yourself: "What have I been living for?"
Well, either way.
Lame tutorial or not, I'd rather get the full game experience.
I'll just read the manual.
macking fun of my inglish ehehehe you guys are sweet, thats why im crazy to see ya all in the game
You're crazy, with a long a? But I thought that was 'crazzy' with a short a, like 'craggy' only different...
Though I gotta say, I did really like your definitive defiance back there. Yep.
Gotta read page 34, line 65 for the password.
What game was that?I have a faint memory of doing just such a thing.
I'll probably re-do the tutorial, I'm crazy like that. (It has been quite a few months since I saw it)
Playing everything all over again since im noob... lol
No but seriously because i like whatever storyline there is behind a game. (mostly lame, but sometimes amazing)
