if you want only one set, it

if you want only one set, it might be ok to have a little of everything for general purpose dungeoning, but since the lvls are themed part of your armour will always be wasted. Its better to have both pieces with some normal and the other half matched to whatever the theme of the lvl you're in is.

I had a devine mantle and a skolver, which is similar to the set up you want, once i got the 2nd piece of skolver I haven't really used the devine much anymore, except when I'm in a shodow damage tier, since its my only shadow piece. but in those lvl's it doen't help as much as a skelly armour would.

Veil >>> Mantle

If you get a piece of Divine, be sure it is the Veil which has Damage Bonus vs Fiends. The Mantle has the same stats, but no damage bonus. Of course, if you don't like the halo, you can cover it with a costume helm.

Usually people double up on the defenses that are most important such as Normal and Elemental... but really anything works. If you go with a mixed set but then find something is particularly difficult, like T3 Fiends or FSC, then you can go back and make something to compensate.

Also consider getting UVs to fill in the gaps. For example, Normal on Divine or Elemental on Jelly.
