I was never interested in this stuff, until I read The rise of Necropolis by N3cR0m4nS1r and his other story Let the Flames begin. Now, i'm starting one for fun. Since I was inspired by him, the structure of the story is probably the same, but the story is mostly original, again if there's anything repeated, it was probably N3cR0m4nS1r who I got it from, and I really didn't mean to. But thank you for inspiring me, N3cR0m4nS1r. If you want to be a character can you fill out the character sheets like in N3cR0's stories?

Equipment: nooby stuff, Ascended calibur, striker, brandish, blaster, magnus, autogun,blast bomb, spine cone, haze bomb, wolver set, magic set, defender, and wise owlite shield.(im prolly gonna get a bristling buckler soon to replace my defender)
Personality: being an all-rounder, he is specially trained to use any kind of weapon, from a leviathan blade, to a proto gun. He is nice and friendly, helping anyone in need, but his temper easily explodes. He has a pet tier 3 Alpha Ash tail. How he obtained it is unkwon, but some say it is because of a magical attachment he has with monsters. It will loyalyserve Axl to the death, but Axl takes good care of it and makes sure it is never seriously injured. He has called his pet Ashes, as he is known to burn the most notorious enemeis to ashes. He is also sometime nicknamed as the "Flaming Wheel" because of his need to circle three times in a row before settling down. When he does, he looks like a wheel on fire.
Likes: he loves playing with his pet wolver, showing great affection for it. He also loves studying other monsters and it pains him to see his fellow knights kill monsters. it is his belief that the monsters and the knights should live together, as he does with his pet ash tail.
Dislikes: he hates mechknights, because of an incident that had happended many years ago. at that time, he liked tinkering with spare metal scraps and one day, he had made a mechaknight robot to help him do stuff. But the robot malfuntioned, flooding his house, and almost drowning his pet ashtail. now, he especially likes destroying them instead of building them.

I've noticed the fanfiction trend explode on here, and also the pattern of community involvement. I just wanted to point out that fan fiction doesn't absolutely HAVE to have other people's characters in it, although it's far more entertaining to the community as a whole usually if it does. I just didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea that if you want to write a fan fiction of spiral knights you need to have people toss in their characters.

working on chapter 2 already, and there are 10 spots left, i'm thinking of changing the charater lineup a bit. Look out for this, the story, will prob. be from the first person, and as there's so much to cover, i'll probably alternate characters. Basics, There is an egotistical phantom maniac bent on ruling Cradle. Of course he has an army, and the Knights are his main opposition. The Knights of the Spire are allied with the Strangers, a peaceful people. The Strangers provide knowledge and technology and the Knights provide crowns. It's a simple harmony there. Oh, by the way, shrinkshootr, I just like the idea, I already have names in case but i'm just providing the opportunity for those who might find it fun. personality: Tends to approach a new situation with caution. If something scares her she would rather run then fight but she tries to cover that up and make herself look tough. Seeing a majority of knights are male she doesn't want to look like she is slowing them down. She can be very out going at first but if she feels uncomfortable with the knights she is fighting along side with she would rather keep quiet. Hates being alone but doesn't like it when other knights don't want to talk to her. Sometimes she fantasizes about a love interest but would rather not get involved given the current situation. Hay a girl can dream! She hate's it when she see's someone get hurt but at the same time can't stand it when another knight is slowing her down. Tends to get frustrated when things aren't going her way. She loves making herself look good so she has a lot of armor that she uses as costume. Got to stay fashionable.

Personality: Contrary to his name, he's not a real captain, but likes the title nonetheless, motivated attitude, enjoys team effort but does not believe that lives are worth throwing away for combat that could have been avoided. Stalwart fighter when the moment demands it. Not much of a leader but enjoys following orders unless he thinks he had a better plan. Enjoys combat, he finds it amusing and takes in the thrill, not for the thirst of blood, but for the glory of fighting a worthy adversary and each do or die situation is just another challenge waiting to be bested by blade.
Likes: A good fight, a glorious charge, impossible odds.
Dislikes: Being in a state of inactivity, being on fire or shocked by electricity.

I haven't been able to get on in a couple days. But, the first chapter shall be released now. By the way, there isn't really much action in this chapter, just a starting block for me to build on. But first...
Axl and Ashes- an inseparable duo that brave the ClockWorks in order to supply the Spire with crowns, minerals and materials etc. You're good guys.
Merc- You are a bad guy. You have long given up being a Knight of the Spire, realizing the depth of their wickedness for trivial things. You believe DeathBlade's reign will bring peace, so you are a commander in his army.
Bubba- a sometimes hopelessly confused knight of the Spire. You're the Knights Basil, selling anything useful to the ClockWork Knights. DeathBlade is bad for your business, so you fight against him.
KnightCaptain- Yea, you're Nemodius's apprentice. You also ride on a Greaver, although more clumsily.
WhiteLancer- A Knight whose current sole purpose is to destroy DeathBlade. You come from the somewhat legendary Valkryie Knights, so everyone believes in you. In battle though, you tend to be a bit headstrong.
And Me!!!! Armerio- The smart Knight, though not the best battler though. With a fairly wide arsenal, he believes he can deal with any surprise well enough. He believes DeathBlade must be destroyed and he might just be the one with the answer to their problem. Tends to be unsure of himself though.

Chapter 1- Just another day on the job

"And this machine is how we improve our gear," the lecturer for the daay concluded. Yawn. Sure I needed to know how stuff worked, but first I wanted to learn about this ever shifting world we were on. Cradle. Was it all lush and green with those lizards and gelatin monsters?? I didn't think so. But what did I know? I was only two days out of the escape pod. Better just listen to the lecture. We'd get to the fun stuff later, right? Right..... righ.... rig... ri..r.
Squire Jade-Rabbit, The Spire Training Grounds, The Spire Kingdom
I aimed, locked on my target, and fired. Dead on. I aced my shooting test again. But I was jeered for shooting too slow. After about five minutes of continuous jeering, I decided to go for the record. The fastest time through the shooting course, set by Wegner, was 34 seconds. I had given myself a challenge, so of course i'd win. That would show those loudmouth boys.
Doom, Pitiless Plunge, The ClockWorks
The Plunge is actually an insanely steep slope. Volcanic, desolated, and treacherous. The only place a phantom can chill since the Phantom Purge. I settled down for my usual midnight entertainment, watching stuff fall off the slope. Usually it was devilites, and serve them right too, nasty little idiots. But sometimes it was something unusual. Like this time, it was an Owlite. And it didn't fall, it jumped. Suicidal owlites are considered a bad omen. Which could only mean it was good news for me. Change was in the air.... I could definetely feel it. I heard a Ghost Bell ring in the distance..

We were under attack, that much was clear. The alarm horn blaring definetely meant that. Duh. But who was attacking us? The tone was at the lowest point, so it could only mean the undead.
" Get out of here! Warn the Knights of the Spire, and take care of Fuzz for me," I said.
" We will, and Fuzz will receive the best care possible," my wife, Karma said. They disappeared into the royal passage. The doors burst open, there the phantom stood, with a venomous smile.
Busy, busy, so only a little at a time, ok.

Name: Nemodius. Yes, he is another twin brother to Necro and Exodius.

Equipts: Beginner stuff, Defender, Khorovod, Nightblade, Snarble Barb, Jelly mail, Cobalt Amor, Magic Hood, Fiery Vaporizer, and I expect to be able to craft my Grintovec tomorrow or the day after.
Personality: A loner, not very social. He is not a good guy, but not evil either. he does whatever he thinks is right, from helping knights to assasinating kings. Enjoys smashing jellies into... well, jelly, with his Khorovod. He thinks guns are for cowards, and uses them as little as possible. Which is like, never. He has a pet giant Jade Greaver, which was once the swarm king of an eniter hive of greavers before someone planted big angry bomb in the hive and killed everyone except him. NEmodius found him and saved him from death. As a result, the Greaver guards Nemodius with his life and allows him to fly on him. Whereever he flies, he leaves behind a deadly mist of poison, which is very useful when assualting a entire mob of enemies. His name is Drex. Nemodius also shows a facination at cunstructs, and enjoys tinering with scrap metal to construct his own personal bodygurards. They, and Drex, are his only real friends.
Likes: All monsters. Except lumbers and retrodes. He finds them facinating, womdereing how to make a tree into a robot and a robot come back as a zombie robot, but they are the ones who are responsible for almost killing him multiple time. He also enjoys smashing things.
Dislikes: Lumbers and retrodes.
Other: He has a habit of apearing whenever he is needed the most, but disappears right after.
