This is even worse than the last Gate, you guys.
I'm begging here, could we PLEASE possibly tone down the Fiends? You HAVE a Gate already that has Fiends in it, for those of you that love Fiends! Why do you have to ruin the game for the rest of us when you already have what you want!?
And yes, I spent every Mineral I had in my arsenal on trying to overthrow the Fiend theme. Not only did it fail, but even MORE of the Stratums became Fiends, meaning you guys are doing this on purpose.
It's trolling, it's becoming a problem and it's simply uncalled for. We didn't do anything to you. So why do you continue to ruin our Gates?
And the Devs or Game Masters can't do anything about it because it's technically not breaking any rules.
It's not fair.

And it's... okay well calling it trolling is a bit of a stretch, but seriously, I'm nauseous with stress about this. I can't kill these things. You guys are all collaborating to create a game I can't play. It's like back when I was in Elementary School and whenever it was Recess the kids said "Let's play Keep Away From Hunter" (my RL name) if I tried to play soccer with them.
Edit: And if "learn to beat them" means "get equipment that helps you beat them", I don't want to become a conformist just to be able to play. I never wore the same clothes or hobbies as people back in high school, I've never gotten a Facebook just because everyone else has one, and I DON'T want to be forced to get a Vog Suit or Owlite Shield or whatever just to be "a non-sucking player".

2.) Equip ANY shadow armor and shield available in the game. (And there are plenty)
3.) Stop complaining in the forums
4.) Enjoy the game.
If you have piercing/elemental defenses AND a Leviathan blade, you deserve to die in fiend stratums, you come unprepared (and obviously without the right skillset to face fiends) and expect to prevail? If it doesn't go YOUR way, then it's wrong/trolling... Oh the self-entitlement of this generation...

Best equipment for fiends isn't Vog and Owlite, it's Valkyrie with a skelly shield or a Crest of Almire. Fiends do shadow damage, they are weak to piercing damage, so if you want to be well defended against them and do lots of damage at the same time, you will need armor with shadow defense and weapons with piercing damage. I hope this helps you against devilites, since shadow armor and piercing weapons aren't mainstream so you can probably use them.

Gun? They just dodge every time, even faster than Wolvers and Gremlins. Also my only gun is the Umbra Driver. (I'm kicking myself for selling my 4* Master Blaster, I should have finished leveling it up, but I had no money... I'll make it again some day... oh and they dodged that too when I had it, just as easily)
I appreciate you trying to give advice though. Honest.
Someone once told me "the Radiant Sun Shards makes a joke out of Devilites", but how true is that? I'm still hesitating, since they can dodge all my bullets so easily and the Crystal Bomb line is a projectile-based Bomb... :-/
Oh, better question; why does gunning work so well for YOU? Obviously you're doing something I'm not...
Also, really, even if Fiends were my best foe, it would still bother me that I see so many of them in one Gate. I would have been a ton happier with the Poison or Fire Theme even if it had a lot of Fiends IN IT. And to those people collaborating to have a monopoly on the Gates, I don't think it's that horrible a compromise, just for ONE GATE to get a break, do you? -_-
Edit: Also, my armor right now is Divine Veil and Raidant Silvermail. I had to get those instead of the full Deadly Virulisk set just to be able to handle Fiends and Undead; it's humiliating that I had to get two 5-star items JUST for the sake of a Costume. Even with the armor I use they STILL kill me on Tier 1. I tried using the Flourish once, but not only did Devilites still kill me, but everything else did too all the sudden, because I couldn't hit anything with it. Too hard to use.

Get over it, stop boo-hoo cries on the fourm.Many people hate fiends yes we know we dont need to hear it over and over again. Get shadow resisting shield and armor, and peircing weapons.If your going to be strong against one thing you have to be weaker agaisnt anothers.No, its not trolling, alot of purple and red where deposited,so what? There will be other gates that might have no fiends.Fiends drop pretty good items too so I dont get what your complaining about.

People using the Magnus line against Devilites, it is a piercing damage gun that monsters have a hard time dodging. Radiant shards shooting in all directions so chances are at least some will hit a devilite even after it dodges, plus it does piercing damage and bonus to fiends.

Never ever use guns against a devilite. Unless it's a Magnus gun line gun. Use swords. and bombs. preferably swords. if u use a bomb, use like the snarby bomb line (i forget what it's called). or a blast bomb. in mobs, a sword with knockback is very fun to use. for example, devilite bmob + troika charge = lolololol. but that's just my opinion. and it 1hitko them. i think. basic attack 2hitkos. caliur charge is also very useful when surronded. blows them out of the screen even more than troika. and it's 360 degrees attack.
grievers are different. they swarm u. which is annoying. its good to have a knockback sword like troika against them cause whe they charge, smash them, then use econd hit with knockback to bash them away. repeat until dead. very very useful. guns like pulasr might be useful against them too. i dunno. just taking an educated guess.
for trojans, it helps is u have 2 o more people in your party. have them distract the trojan, so u can sneak up behind and smash the crystal. if solo, get far away from it, wait for it to charge at u, dodge, get behind him while hes smashing cause he cant stop charge attack, so hs very vurnable then. smash crystal. repeat until dead. and never, ever get caught in a corner by a trojan. no way out. u r stuck. even if die and revive, u cant escape. unless there is someone else to destract the trojan from u. o yeah, trojans can damage other monsters. if u ever face 2 trojams, try to get them to smash each other. crystal shards bomb is also very useful. place directly under trojan, or trojan crystal (not to sure which), it explodes, every single shard hits the crystal, use swordgun about 2 hits, trojan dies. very useful. calibur charge should be useful too. 3 hit charge.
this is off topic, but how does a calibur charge do 3 hits? there is only one swing. my brother (IGN, Shadownox) had a theory that first the hilt smashes, then the midle of the blade, than the tip of the blade.

N3cR0, something tells me your Troika-line sword would STILL have an easier time hitting/killing Devilites than any gun. Even the Magnus, whatever that is. (never heard of anything called a Magnus)
Also, Greavers aren't too bad. I can fight off 12 at once if there aren't any other enemies assisting them (meaning they become a nightmare in Arenas, but usually not otherwise).
Devilites though are impossible. The game is unplayable when they exist; I have to be lucky to win, or let the rest of the party kill them (which I loathe doing; whenever I'm in a group I feel it's my duty to over-perform, not sure why).

same for me. i'm a teir two guy, so whenever i do a tier one run with a party (which is not often), i like to show off. a lot. especily when killing the snarby. most of them have no idea how to kill him, so they run around in a panic dying, while i keep my cool and kill him. at the end the r all like "OMG how did youz do dat! i bow down and worship u!" very satisfiying.

Devilites are not my
Devilites are not my favourite group of enemies but then if it comes, it comes.
Have been a gunner and only equip a Flourish when I'm heading into Fiend territory. Prior to acquiring a Flourish, it's mostly just constant moving and gunning while keeping a distance such that any chairs thrown would have to fly some distance, giving me enough time to move away. Only thing is that it might take a while since you are only likely to land 1 shot on target before they dodge. If you really want to stretch it, it's possible to aggro only 1 at a time in some cases as well and so can be done if solo-ing the gates. Another irritation I can imagine is getting hit by an attack that was targetted at a team-mate and those can be more difficult to deal with I feel...
The only 5-star weapon which I own is the Argent Peacemaker which works pretty ok for Fiends but previously I was mostly just using my old Blaster (although UV Med against Fiends help for sure).
It's a chore for sure to deal with fiends but short of getting an effective weapon against them, the next best thing to do is observe, plan and to be patient.

this will be a good chance to try out a snarble barb :D fiends aren't too hard with the polaris line either, since you can easily spread your shots in such a way that they dodge into multiple explosions and get shocked. i usually hate when fanboys dismiss valid concerns with "stop whining," but yeah, stop whining. i currently have no shadow protection or piercing weapons, but i do alright against fiends by playing cautiously. try dodging, it is pretty good! try isolating one fiend at a time from the main group and swording his face, it is pretty good! don't try running into a bunch of fiends while clicking wildly, it is pretty bad!

I've yet to ever have a problem with fiends, even in Tier 3.

umm... if you have 5* gear and cant kill devilites/greavers~ you obviously have the wrong gear OR you have no game... there are so many different swords in this game, each is situational, i have six 5* lvl10 swords and im doing #7 now, i'm also working on my 3rd shield thats JUST FOR FIEND stratum...
but heres the kicker~ if you KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME, even with proto sword/shield you can go down to t3 and kill things... all the 5* gear in the world cant help you if you don't got no skillz~

I do prefer using a sword over a gun for devilites most of the time, though my callahan is handy when they want to sit on spikes, or if there are just too many, so I need to shoot and run.

That gate is awesome
I joined a random group at Mooncraft last night. I was using:
Ascended Calibur
Super Blaster
Elemental Hood
Dusker Coat
Horned Owlite Shield
There's one gunner in the group, one other calibur user, and one with a 3* thorn sword.
We made it to the level before Jelly Palace, going through 3 areans on the way. Used only 3 revives in the whole group, and I didn't die.
The three of them left the vials on the ground and went back up - they didn't want to fight Jelly King. So I then solo'ed the first level of Jelly Palace and a Rock Jelly Armor dropped in the upper left room.
I was going to leave before JK, as I knew I couldn't solo him with those gears. But then a friend joined and we went on. Lag monster bit me for the very first time in SK - I got 2 whole minutes of lag (while my client was running smoothly - I can move and swing but everything else froze). Then the data slowly came back, and I saw a jumpy playback of the 2 minutes I lost. Plus the message "We're not gonna make it" from my friend.
Still, free 4* piercing armor, lots of materials, and I made enough crowns to make the 3* barbed shield.
That gate is awesome. I'm going in again tonight.

2) If you die to fiends in T1 with top level gear, I'm sorry to break the news to you this way, but you suck. A lot. No offense.
3a) Trolling implies intent. There is no intent here. A vast majority of the strata are determined by the great numbers of mineral auto-depositers. Most people hate fiends because they are difficult and their levels pay poorly, even in materials. Those few groups of people who could actually come together and pool their minerals to overpower the influence of the entire playerbase in order to make a stratum of their choosing would most certainly not make fiend strata, as it is a waste of their resources (stated above), and most certainly would not waste their minerals trying to force certain strata in T1.
3b) It is not even trolling. Even if people DID have enough minerals to change it to fiends, and DID try to force a fiend stratum, that's totally allowed. For whatever reason, if they want fiends and can force the strata, they should be able to, for the same reasons that if you have enough minerals to force an undead or slime stratum, you are also allowed to do it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean others don't, even though those who do are probably in the minority. Trolling means people made fiend levels just to spite everyone else playing the game, and that is probably one of the stupidest ideas I've seen on these forums.
