Hello
I currently am planning on getting the
SET 1
- Valkyrie Helm
- Vog Cub Coat
- Volcanic Plate Shield.

Then after doing some exploring of gear on the wiki I found some gear that might work better then the set I'm currently aiming for.
SET 2
- Dragon Scale Helm
- Radiant Silvermail
- Volcanic Plate Shield

Do you think I should transition to Set 2 and forget about Set 1 right now?
Do you think I should wait till I get 4* gear with the current set I'm aiming for and gain access to tier 3 then transition to Set 2?
Or should I just forget about Set 2 all together?
Also I would be glad to hear other recommendation.

Go Vog cap and radiant

Go Vog cap and radiant silvermail if you want those. Keep the volc shield.

Help us out a little bit -

Help us out a little bit - what's your goal with these sets? It looks like you want some fire and curse resist, but I think you're going to eat a lot of pain if you don't have some normal defense. Piercing/Elemental isn't really a good combo except maybe in tier 3 jelly strata, and that's awfully specific (keep in mind that in tier 2, enemies do split damage). Valk/Vog would give shadow/elemental/normal, at least, while Vog/Radiant would split defenses like the (somewhat uncommon) Veil/Skolver (curse def, but a terrible FSC choice).

We'll for the most part I'm

We'll for the most part I'm planning on doing a lot of Royal Jelly Palace and doing a lot of tier 3 runs that don't have FSC currently. I plan on doing FSC occasionally. Besides I might go with BigFootM recommendation and go for the Vog Cub Cap so I can have some normal defense with my armor.
