I don't really understand what's included. Can anyone give me their opinion as to if it's worth paying for any of those packs? Thanks for the info!
Pay packages worth it for a new player?
I haven't really investigated the PvP side of things. I find myself avoiding it generally, so the beginner's pack would be the better option I imagine. :) The slot upgrades are confusing to me...I thought you could have infinite items (that's what someone told me at least, haha).
You can have as many items as you want in your inventory, but you cannot equip as many as you want.
In particular, you have by default only 2 weapons slots, that you can switch whenever you want (but you can't equip a weapon in your inventory during when in the clockworks). With a slot updgrade, you can go up to 4 weapons slots, giving you more variety during a given level (at the beginning, it is not that important, but then you start to have several types of damage for every weapon type, so it starts to matter).
I bought a starter pack when I began, and it is really worth it. The items you are given are garbage (only 1* doesn't let you go far), but the crystal energy let you skip easily to 2*, and perhaps even 3*, which is a huge boost, allowing you to go through all tiers 2 from the beginning.
Battle pack is way better man.It gives you more CE.
What about the trinket slot and weapon slot upgrades?
Those are good but you can get them for 150 energy which is pretty cheap.
Weapon Slot Upgrade is 250, Battle Pack is also $5 more expensive.
So for the starter pack, the 2 trinket and 2 weapon slots upgrades are about... 800 CE worth. Not to mention the 5 mist tanks which is just about worth an additional 500 CE.

Anyway, what the energy bundles are worth is all up to you. This game can be enjoyed without CE, you'll just have to grind more and play more. Isn't that the point of a game anyway? Buying CE is for making the game easier and reaching good gear faster, to some people it means that you'll just be bored faster.
I bought the starter pack, not the battle pack. It has made for a nice little transition into the game. :) The CE is allowing me to play around with alchemy a bit...Although I'm still a bit slow on it, it's fun! And I'm enjoying the bomber route, so it's nice to be able to buy a few pieces of decent gear and try it out before I try and alchemy a solid UV set. Thanks for the protips everyone.
Don't waste the CE.save them for 3* gear and up.Spend your mist everyday. Then when you each tier 2 aim for 3* gear. You should do JK runs.
A basic 10$ is enough to get you started and is a very good boost so you can become self sustained.
My recommendation:
1.- Do not buy the CE if you are enjoying T1 and are good grinding, you wont need it (you will take a long walk into gettig to T3, but you will enjoy the game longer)
2.- If you want a quick boost cuz t1 is too ez then buy 10$ and use the energy ONLY for forging items and just a bit for doing runs, DO NOT SELL CE FOR CROWNS. the order should be :
a) farm snarby runs for money
b) little by little get the recipes you need (preferably from the middle levels and not from AH)
c) once you got a couple of mats and recipes start forging
d) if you feel confident, start doing roarmus or jelly runs without doing the boss (choose which boss stages you find easier to do)
e) rinse and repeat till 5 *
f) once you get 5* start collecting different weapons and start selling 5* recipes, start doing vanaduke runs. hit endgame, leave for next game (if you dont feel like waiting for updates)
Well, if you get the beginner's pack, you'll be pretty much set for a long long time. Just make sure you use your mist tanks instead of ce, and you only use them when you need them.(mist below 10) And when you activate a mist tank, try to use as much mist from it as possible. You also get several slot upgrades. These let you put more then 2 weapons at a time on your knight, and put trinkets.
If you like PVP a lot, the battle pack would be better, because it gives you several Crogmo coin boosters.
Each pack suits different people.
