I was just thinking, this IS a Sega game, so, I thought Sonic the Hedgehog could be added to the game. He is coming out with a 20th Aneversery Game and all. I told this to people, and they didn't think it would fit into Spiral Knightsmquite well. I suggested Sonic from Sonic and the Black Knight and it made more sence to them. Tails, (not really named Tails, but his in-game name as a blacksmith) could be a merchant or vendor. This would probably be a limited time thing where you can get Sonic Armor, Helm, and add (to stay in the game) a different form of Calibur, Excalibur. Playing off of Sonic and the Black Knight, there would be 3* Sonic Armor and Helm, and the 4* (Could be 4* and 5*, or 0* XD) would be him when he had gold armor at the end of the game. Adding Knuckles, (Gawain) Shadow, (Lancalot) and Blaze, (Percival) or Jet & Silver Wouldn't be advised. Who else thinks this is a good and fun idea?

Overall: Add Sonic from Sonic and the Black Knight into the game for a little time to celebrate his 20th Aneversery. Like or Not?

It would have been great for OOO to make a Sonic Helm as a promotional item for the hedgehog's 20th anniversary. This would have built a bridge of gratitude for SEGA letting them publish their game AND attracted more players, plus maybe make profits.

A damn shame they never got to do that. Guess we won't be seeing a NiGHTS Helm either D: .

Sonic as a permenent character or vendor is a no-go. Just seems odd. I could understand a sonic helm with ASI or MSI, or as a costume only, just for fun.

ok, seriously now, I do like Sonic games, I've played lots of them myself, but this idea is just ridiculous. I don't get why you guys are fretting so much about this. Characters from different universes should never coexist in the same game. Ever. It doesn't make any sense. Unless they're put in some game with the SOLE, SINGLE PURPOSE of putting different characters together (like super smash bros, or Tatsunoko vs Capcom) and NOT as a "bonus" appearance.

Spiral Knights doesn't need such things, we need gameplay adjustments, we need more weapons, more bosses, more enemies, more stages, more modes (like LD and BN), more subtowns, more NPCs, more REAL CONTENT.

We do not need a Sonic the Hedgehog armor. Let the developers use their time for something that actually matters.

Anyways, I wouldn't want wholesale conversion to Sega things now that Sega owns Three Rings, but I'm always a fan of crossovers when they are done well.

So, maybe a Shadow Lair level based after Emerald Zone and a Boss fight with 'His World' Instrumental playing. Epic much?

(The story of Spiral Knights lends itself to crossovers, as Cradle is a world slapped pieced together by separate worlds.
SK lends itself to a PSO crossover more than Sonic but hey: beggars can't be choosers.)

Im neutral to this. Im not saying they should do that because it would be kinda weird, but i aint sayin they shouldnt. If they want to put sonic in the game i would be the first to get that armour.

If they put a sonic armour in the game it should be something like silver or metal sonic, sorry i just know the games from Mega Drive, am i feel so old but yeah keep it classy.

Metal sonic armor was adpted to kind of fit into the game and Tails tails is like a wolver tail. It's fine so long they dont add a 'clasic' sonic model.

"METAL" Sonic.

There's a reason they put Metal Sonic in the game, not anything else. It's because it's...METAL. If you put a 'Sonic Costume' in the game...it'd look completely off.

Not only do I think that this game has had more than its fair share of Sonic-related items, but this doesn't make much sense. Not to mention that Sonic is ONLY alive today due to nostalgic value; there hasn't been a single decent game since early Gamecube, even though Colors was a slight improvement.

It's kind of the like the band Rolling Stones. Their music is awful, but it is still alive today because it was once very popular.

Even though I'm F2P, and really don't mind promotions (Due to CE prices dropping afterwards), I'd rather have yet another Rose Regalia set instead of another Sonic-themed set.

EDIT: I didn't realize this topic was Necro'd. Sonic has been put into this game since the date of this post, so it doesn't matter now.
