I'm trying not got raked over the coals by buying recipes from the Auction House. I'm having a ridiculous time finding the following recipes in game.

Ashtail Coat
Elemental Hood: had one made for me :(
Miracle Hood
Glacius: assuming will be in the 3rd tier
Any of the Snarble stuff.

Is there any specific gates that are more likely to have these. It just seems ridiculous the amount of times I have to drop hoping to get them and I never see them. If I do see say Miracle it's the cloak and not the hood. I wouldn't mind so much if you earned some crowns but the first have of any tier seems like nothing drops.

Basil's inventory is

Basil's inventory is randomized each time you meet him, so you'll honestly just either have to luck out, use The Bazaar on the forums to find the recipes you need, or use the Auction House.

You'll need to go to Tier 3's

You'll need to go to Tier 3's Basil at Depth 23 to have a chance at 5* recipes. Since there are many 5* recipes and he only shows a few at a time it can take a very long time to find the one you are looking for. I recommend checking your friends list when people are approaching Basil and ask them to see if your recipe is there. Also, your guildmates can help look for recipes too. Usually they won't charge too much for the service :)
