I was just wondering, which path is best for the Demo Helm? I think I like the Volcanic Demo Helm, but I want some opinions. VDM, Mad Bomber, or Bombastic?

OK, thanks. Bombastic did look horrible, I mean, whats the point of less charge speed for more attack power if you could get hit way more easily during the extended charge time? It was really between Mad Bomber or Volcanic, thanks for the advice.

Volc demo. CTR is the most important for consistant spamming, so it's comparable to mad bomber. It also mixes well with mad bomber coat, Vog cub coat, ctr medium bombs, FSC, etc. Looks good too.
The coat would be a different story since it offers low instead of medium CTR, unlike mad bomber.

Wasn't planning on getting the coat, I was gonna get a Radiant Silvermail for Shadow and Peircing resistance, plus Curse resistance for GF using.

Its best to go with volcanic if you wanna be safe, and mad bomber if you wanna PWN!!!!!! I have mad bomber with nitronome and all together when it reaches lvl 10 the stats will be: CTR MAXIMUM. Damage bonus Very high. But thats with full mad bomber and lvl 10 nitronome. So yeah in ur face Rahkshi, have fun with bombtastic XP

Bombastic is the 2nd worst set in game.
The general set is Volcanic demo helm and Mad bomber armor, but if your only doing one piece, then totally go with the Volcanic.
Volcanic demo helm offers medium CTR while Volcanic demo armor only offers low CTR.
Bombastic is the 2nd worst set in game, behind only the infamous chaos set.

No offence rahkshi, but are you even a bomber? You just sound like someone who took one quick look at the helms and decided that volcanic demo helm was the best because it resisted fire, and Mad Bomber was the worst because it had some negative bars.
Bombastic is pretty horrible, it has no resists and has a mere low damage bonus.
Volcanic demo is pretty good, it's got some nice charge time reduction on the helm. You'd probably only wear full volcanic demo if you're not that great at bombing yet, and you want to play it safe.
Mad Bomber is the best, but it is only for the experienced bombers. The advantages are great, and the status negatives mean nothing (if you're skilled). I mean, you're a BOMBER, not a swordsman! You're not gonna be getting hit much! You just shield and dodge!
Of course, another option that some bombers like is Volcanic Demo Helm/Mad Bomber Suit which might actually be the best. Idk, really.
So ranked from best to worst IMO
#1 Mad Bomber
#2 Volcanic Demo
#3 Bombastic

Personally, I wear Mad Bomber Helm with Max Fire UV. I got the UV so that I could safely wear it in FSC, but before that I would just take my Mad Bomber Helm without a UV into FSC. The negative status resistances are something bombers learn to live with, certainly not a deal breaker when choosing armor. The extra damage (and CTR in the case of the suit) more than makes up for the negative resistances.

What Dark Ritual?
Pupu is right. Just get a tad bit of fire resist (Medium fire cancels out the negative fire, try to get that atleast. Higher is recommened) and your set.
Bombs I recommend:
Nitronome-With the Volc Helm/Mad suit at heat 10, ou can spam this bomb. No joke.
Shivermist Buster-Not to use if you have Nitronome although it IS useful and recommended.
Dark Briar Barage-Not needed if you have Nitronome although it is good to have.
Ash Of Agni-Works well with Nitronome
Voltaic Tempest-Combo this with AoA and Nitronome and you are set for anywhere.
Lastly, Radiant Sun Shards. The bombers gun.
My Combo I recommend-
Nitronome
Radiant Sun Shards
Ash Of Agni
Shivermist Buster

Yeah srry Rahkishi but i was screaming at you cuz the bombtastic does suck. I agree with Dilbert,I have the mad bomber and the status weakness feels like nothing and the very high ctr and damage bounus does make up for it. I would think its in the Top 5 armor set. And my nitronome takes like a second and half to charge (not sure but I roughly counted) Yeah and im trying to get UVs on my stuff.
Ranking:
1:Full Mad Bomber
2:Mad Bomber/Volcanic Helm
3:Volcanic Set
4: (worst) Bombtastic
Again damage bonus is not as helpful as CTR beacuse of Damage per Second (DPS) which can be greatly raised with lots of CTR. CTR is also great with status bombs (being able to constantly keep them with a status affect). Also if you love playing with a team get the electron bomb! Players can easily attack mutiple enemies while they are being suctioned. Shock reduces the knockback of enemies. Unlike the Graviton it can suck in Kats! WARNING: Do not stand in the middle of the vortex for you may be trappped by monsters. Nitronome is good too!!!

Just did a couple levels with
Just did a couple levels with a guy carrying four bombs, volcanic helm, mad suit, and damage trinket. If you went with mad helm, the trinket would result in max damage, as it was he said he got very high.
Two of us were with him. In the danger rooms, he spammed nitro rather than kiting. Here's my conclusion:
PRO BOMBERS DON'T NEED DEFENSE. nitronome knocked things back so much that the other two of us just stood there in awe. Get volcanic helm and mad suit if you're worried about fire. If not, do mad everything.

To be honest, the trinkets even the bombastic out a bit more, but still better to get the others, for sake of being able to use other trinkets in the slots. I would only get the bombastic if you frequently run with folks who like to Polaris or Calibur enemies into you :)

I was just crafing spiral demo suits for Uvs on my mad bomber stuff and i got Freeze resist MAX. the problem is i want fire or shock resist so i might sell it for a bit of cash (bit meaning a but load). The problem with spamming my nitro is that people get mad at me for knocking attacking enemies into them so i have to warn them ahead of time but theyre like "no u noob i wanna charge spam em!" Thats why i mostly use bombs in open places, begining of arenas/danger rooms, if everyone but me is dead, if i wanna be a jerk to those who refuse my bombs ("say hey man dont use ur bomb" and im like ummmm look at my armour!!!!!!) and soloing. graviton type bombs is the opposite, EVERYONE loves people who have them. they sword charge the mass of enemies,clears up some room, you can put it right on top of people you hate, best crowd control bomb. the nitro is the best damage bomb with great damage and charge time and also acts as a crowd control bomb by doing the opposite of the graviton (sends em flying away instead of being helplessly sucked into the vortex). my brother theorized that if you spammed the nitro with good CTR in the JK you could survive cuz by the time they get to you they will be sent away with another blast. In conclusion the best non status bombs are the nitronome and graviton/electron (electron is somewhat better)

If you are "rich" and have very high ctr bombs you can load your trinket slots with two +med damage trinkets, and wear full bombastic demo suit to get max everything bomb related. And this will be better than wearing mad bomber which is the "poor" choice. Of course you can get volcanic demo (or whatever else) and be content with just +very high damage and have more varied defensive properties. I think they should buff that damage modifier it has no resists after all.
