So.. How do I earn crowns for real in this game?

Hey.
I've played this game for alittle over a week, and together with some friends bought the few starter packs, and split up the cost.
But now I do not wish to spend another penny on it. (Good game, but so many things I dislike.)

So how to make crowns? (In the end more CE).
I've tried running T3 solo until Basil to buy recipies and sell them again for 28-35k. The loot isn't paying up for the 500 crowns (10 CE) price pr Depth.
The gain, if recipie is sold is between 3-10k.
That means if I want to get a new set for my little knight, I'd need to be lucky, and sell 5-6 recipies with a profit of 10k each, for roughly paying the run costs, and to upgrade a single item from 4* to 5*..

There has got to be an "easier", maybe faster is the better term, to do this?

Any hints at all, is much appricated.

With that said, atm I'm running with:
Skolver set, Levi, DA, Vile Striker.

I want a Vog Cub Set aswell, just because I like to attack fast.
What is the fastest weapon in the game, what weapon would you recommend for this set, and what UVs for armor and weaps do you say would be win?
So far the first Wolver Coat I crafted for the Vog Cub purpose, came with a UV for Med Shock resist.
Is that a keeper?

You are missing the second half is much more profitable.

You may get 3-6k on the last (non-Vanaduke) level before the core, depending on theme (I fondly remember that Gremlin+Slime themes on Tier 3, with Jelly Farm on floor 28 last week, good times)

If you can't handle the wildly popular Fiends, or FSC, then you'd better work hard to manipulate the gates (or ask help to do it) and make sure that the last strata is slimes... or constructs. :D

It will cost 3k just to go there (No deaths included), so the profit would be 3k, if we count with the 6k max you wrote.
Mind you I'm not talking about using 100 mist energy a day.
I'm a WoW player, I farm [crap] to make cash.
If I wanted to play a game, thats only playable for a limited time a day, I'd just do some facebook games or something. ^^

So basicly, if there's no real way, to farm and gain a decent profit, so you can actually play the game, how its intended without the cost of real life money, then I'll find something else. :P

How to maximise your profit

If you do tier 3 regularly, do tier 2 first, you need to reach emberlight, it dosent matter which floor you started from even if its the one just before emberlight, once you do this. you dont need to pay the 500 crowns

As far as i am concern? Fire storm citadel is the biggest crown and heat farm there is, your missing out on the good part

3rd
if you dont really like tier 3 try looping arenas on tier 1. with 4 ppl you earn up to 2k per loop, though the mats will not be good, the money makes up for it. Try the gate [purple sun was it?] it has an arena at floor 7,

4th do royal palace, take tokens to sell
Current royal palace is good now, 3 arenas, to maximise profits clear tier 1 of that gate first to waive off the levy fee

Just tried the JK tip. (With all arenas. No waiting time, I was lucky.)
Took roughly 1 hour 30 min, from Depth 9 till 16. (Yes I play slow and defensively.)

Profit in the end was 4600, so that is certainly, not a doable way.
Take 4500 average. And lets say for 3 5* upgrades = 2700 CE, thats roughly 135000 crowns.
Dividing that with 4600 you get roughly 30.
30 x 1.5 = 45 hours of runs.

If that is truely the best way, except getting lucky with the 2 crafts a day the other account makes, then hell...
I've yet to try the Tier3 to the end solo, so if you say Depth 28 gives 3-6k in itself it might be variable.
Gonna check that out tomorrow or something.

I hope you understand that I appriciate your ideas, but that its how the currency in the game is made, that might make me sound alittle annoyed. =)

I can totally understand you. As long as you are in T1 and T2 you leech your crystal energy. If you do a full T3 run, you actually get allways more money than have to spend for 100 CE. Also you just need 80 CE for that run i guess. Friends can heal you for no CE, ya know? Best way is to solo or duo. The HP of the enemies is 100% x players. 1 player = 100%, 2 players = 200%, ...

This is not a permanent solution, but I've been running the Dark Clover gate at T1 (yes, T1) and I make around 5-6k crowns each run, simply because of the fact that there are three arenas there (also, I try to wait for devilite levels as often as I can, correct me if I'm wrong, they seem to be fairly profitable) and although it does cost 60 ME, I probably regenerate around 7 or 8 ME or so per run, so I can make up to 10-12k crowns for very little effort. I haven't run T2 though (because I'm fail >_<), so I'm not sure of the profits there.

Of course, you will get crappy mats and recipes but well, it's a lot of crowns for very little effort. Just my two cents.

Edit: Oh, I do all/most of my runs solo. Easier for me.

Pick gates with multiple

Pick gates with multiple arenas and hit each arena. You can wait at an elevator for a level to cycle through, so you might have to wait 5-10 mins max for the arena to pop up. The Jelly King gate right now has 3 areans; if you run the entire tier you can gain ~8k crowns, plus mats, plus 3 jelly token, which you can use to get a sealed sword or antigua, unbind, and resell at a profit (Even more if you get danger rooms along the way. Always do those). 3-4* Recipes from Basil at this teir sell better than 5* recipes, usually. If you get lucky and get some desirable recipes your income for the run can easily be another 2k+. Buy back the energy you spent after the run is complete and you'll be looking around a 3-6k profit, plus mats and your tokens.

FSC runs are also profitable. Just doing FSC (latter half of tier 3, after Basil) without Vanaduke will net you ~7k crowns with the possibility of getting some 5* mats that sell for a good bit on the AH. If you can farm Vanaduke, get enough seals to buy items and resell.

Create a crafting alt. Your account is flagged as paid so you can have another, free account to transfer mats/recipes to. Create 2 star items like brandishes, cutters, owlite shields, etc and resell them. The cost to make is 400 crowns, 50 energy, plus mats, and the items auction for 2-k crowns. If you find you can't sell them, they vendor for 750 crowns each. Doing this once a day will give you 2, 2* items to sell.

Play the Blast Network if you're good. For about an hour of play I can make between 2-3k crowns with a win rate of ~75%. You can use the tokens you get to buy Mod Calibrators and resell, or any of the other items for that matter.

First of all, play for fun,

First of all, play for fun, not for profit. If you get tired of grinding, don't grind. Play a gate that you want to. Another way to keep from getting bored is to actually play in a group. Sure you might get a few idiots, but you are just as likely to get a great player that you enjoy running with.

That said, ALWAYS wait for arenas. I just did a measure of crowns on a jelly run, and the devilite rooms for the first three strata gained me ~930 crowns combined. The next level we waited for an arena, and I made 1.3k just from that level. The arena right after Basil was ~1.7k. Even though I left before JK, I made 7k with skipping an arena and doing 1 danger room on depth 8(which was worth about 200). I'm assuming that skipped arena would have been worth another 1k, so waiting 5-10 minutes is totally worth it.

From what I've seen, fiend strata tend to have very low crown drops. However, they also have above average crafting drops. I haven't done extensive testing, but it seems like on average you make less money from fiend than doing another strata.

Crafting nets some decent coin. A lot of the 3* recipes are minor profit even if you use CE to craft, and they are worth even more if you roll a nice UV. I won't give away all my methods, but I'm sure you can figure it out.

I tried playing the CE market by buying and selling, but the 2% fee cuts out a lot of the profit and isn't really worth the time. You can get lucky if you stockpile a lot of CE at a cheap price and wait until the weekend to sell, but don't expect to make a ton.

Thanks for all the answers, but I've gotten to a conclusion.
1 hour of irl work would give me 9500 CE, if I wanted to buy it.
And since that would require days of grind ingame; Lets just say cba. :p
So I guess the occasionally recipe sells with benefit, and some fun runs will do.
Then I can just stick to play the game for funs.

Here's what i do. run around and yell"Buying materials!" then wait for a trade. simply buy some good materials and then sell them on ah for more than you buy them for and less than the lowest buy price. It works for me and my friends and one of my friends even got 70k form nothing but buying and selling materials. this way you use no energy and get massive profits. i often do a run, then sell materials while I wait for enough energy go on my next run(or enough crowns for the 100 CE ). Often i get more crowns from after running out of mist than before. Try it out. I warn you that you need a capital of about 5k crowns before you start.

you could just do the jk run i have herd of people who sell antiguas for over 50k. My friend bought one and he is teir 3 while i am teir 2 and i am still better at fighting than he is. he got me to go to a t3 arena and he died tons more than i did the only reason i died is because i went to revive him

Firestorm Citadel Runs get you about 12k overall per run. 10 runs gets you another 30k via buying stuff with tokens and then selling them at a vendor.

Jelly King runs get you about 6.5k per run, plus another 3500 per 5 runs via buying stuff with tokens and then selling them at a vendor.

Do RJP runs they are profitable and easy. Around 8k if you start from the beginning of Teir 2 and 4-5k from the clockworks terminal at depth 13. The cost to go throughout these runs, from the beginning of Teir 2 (depth 9) is 4.5k cr so these runs are very profitable

Just do tons of vana runs, from D19 to D28 you get about 14k? Cause you get like 10k from fsc+ vana tokens vendored and around 3-4k from D18-D23.If u want to rich and wealthy just keep looping vana runs over and over again,Im sure by the time u finish 100 vana runs,you would have 300k in tokens and alot of crs from the run itself minus of the cost of energy.

it doesnt really matter if u go solo on the elevators because if a party rember gets a crown (lets say a gold crown) it is shared with the whole party and everyone gets 50 crowns, i always seem to get more crowns in a party (but if u want more heat and mats, solos the way 2 go).

Its Hard to lvl from 4 * to 5* my first 5* was shiver and it took so many RJP runs its not even funny. and once i got it. it set me back for so long. Find a wave to go to i got lucky and found away to get alot of money so i started crafting everything to 5 star. XD
