i have skolver cap/coat and leviathan. i've been using barbarous thorn shield but i'm taking too much damage in T3
the main kinds of damage i want to avoid are fire, shadow and shock. so is crest of almire the best shield for me?
best shield for tier 3?

From what you're saying, yes.
From what you're saying, yes. Crest might be best. But since elemental and shadow are both something you want to shield against (like gunpuppy spam in arena's), I'd get both owlite and Crest in the long run.
You could try the volcanic plate shield or grey owlite shield, they have decent fire resistance. Owlite also has shock resistance.
