Unique Bomb/Handgun Idea

Currently, all bombs require charging, while charging is optional for all handguns and swords. Why not have a couple of weapons that are the exception to the rule?

1. A bomb that can be placed without charging, likely a weak blast with a small radius. The charge attack could be a cluster-bomb effect.

2. A handgun that requires charging. It would likely be a high-damage specialty weapon. My ideas are:
a) A piercing attack that strikes multiple enemies in a line.
b) A long-ranged attack that does large damage to a single target
c) A splash attack that does damage to a group.

3. A sword that required charging would likely be very impractical, so I have no ideas for one.

I know this would likely be down the line, but I think my idea has merit. What do you guys think?

There are already guns like

There are already guns like this, actually. The needle shot series pierces and attacks many enemies, while the alchemer charged shots can fragment, hit multiple enemies, and splash back via bouncy bullet magic.

the idea was other, pauling

it was so some guns can only shot by charging them. But you are not wrong either: with those guns already at loose, creating new ones that can only be used while charged would be a waste...or they would need to be too much overpowered.

For bombs, the idea of a small blast bomb that, when charged, transform into a cluster bomb, that does X-hits in X seconds, would be nice.

For guns, charged-only guns can always function as buff itens: they would have slower charge time, but, for example, one of these guns could create a small energy ball that stays at the same place for about 10 seconds, considering a minimal time of 10 seconds to charge it at level 1. This energy ball, when touched by an ally attack, could do these things: spread out in small bullets or explode using the same element and traits of the gun that triggered it, for guns, or create some sort of effect depending on the sword, like a circular slashing shield that knockbacks, for fast swords, or a huge slash wave, for strong sword, and, finally, could serve as bonus effects for bombs placed near them, upgrading damage and status condition. Also, there could be guns that shot standing shields, that stay some seconds active, or until they break down for receiving damage, effectivelly upgrading the party-play and organization.

For swords, i can think only in a energy saber jedi-like sword, that need to be charge so it get's a blade, and works differently: whenever you attack with it uncharged, you will get small cut attacks only. While charged, it would show it's full potential damage, also including any extra effects, and, adding to the math, it would be able to charge the active sword to realize a special attack, far more powerfull than a normal charged attack. If you get knocked on the ground, get's the status condition shock, freeze, sleep, stun, or curse, or change weapons, then you charged sword goes back to the original form, needing to be charged again. Translating: the charge attack of the uncharged sword would not do anything damage-like, but would just transform the sword in it's next form (probably adding a third and fourth forms, depending the weapon). Then, if the player charges an attack while in the last stage of the weapon, the resulting charge attack would be awesome, but would turn the weapon in it's first stage. Let's say, a one charge energy sword, that causes elemental damage and small chance of shock, would do small elemental damage and no status condition, and would show it's true potential when charged after 10 to 15 seconds (yes, slow time charge to compensate the bonuses). After that, every attack made by the player would be high elemental damage, and, if charged again, the sword would unleash a liner elemental ground explosion with high chances of shocking the targets, and with damage at least 30% better than the normal first attack of a combo.

Well...here are my 2 cents...and some dollars as a tip. Sorry to write that much, i got carried away.
