I want to know if you guys think the pepperbox is a good weapon. Is there anything else you would want me to aim for?

Depends on your style. The autogun line is criticized for having to stand still for a second or two while shooting or releasing the charge attack. Did you try using it in tier 2-3 yet? If it gets you hurt more often than not, then I'd lay off upgrading it and switch to other guns.
