Malyce is right, weapon damage UV's stack additively with "vs monster type" UV and only go up to "Maximum".
The thing about using Chroma is that it also powers up damage against slimes for non-sword weapons. So if you want to bring a Toxic Catalyzer to JK runs, you are outta luck if you are using wolver armor.
Granted, Chroma is one of the specialized gear, and just like Cold Iron Vanquisher*, people tend to avoid it unless you plan to run JK or slime strata forever. (Or as luxury costume items for rich knights...)
* Results may vary, but I am under the impression CIV is not very much liked because Leviathan does significantly more damage to non-undead (a.k.a. "everything else").
I don't think it's worth it because you can do skolver cap/coat and the +sword damage shield and get +maximum damage to everything. Maybe if you already had the faust it might be worth it.
From what I've heard, you can't combine +sword damage and +slime damage above +Maximum
