Okay say someone walks up to you and trades you. Puts up a Skolver coat recipe and accepts it. Then you accept it and he calls you a scammer. Is that considered scamming or not? Would it be a ban, a temporary ban, or a warning?
What will happen?
You wouldn't be banned. It was that persons own dumb fault, if they give it to you even if they didn't mean to and then say "HEY UR A SCAMMMER U SUC IM REPORTUNG U!" Then it would be unjust if you got banned, it was his fault.
Overdingle beat me to it! He gave much more details and had a better post as well.
Now, that is the ones hwo read the fourms because they know your bad actions true its their fault fault for clicking confirm on accident but that was something unmoral for you to do. It will bite you in the butt sooner or later.Karma.
You did a bad deed so do not expect good.
How about finding an Antigua being sold for 5,500 CR in the AH and autobuying it?
Frowned upon still? (The seller probably meant for it to be sold for 55,000...)
This person could have put their money in and done the right thing. The antigua thing is something different because they might have just had too many jelly gems and wanted to sell one fast and cheap. Although that is a good deal for the person but a horrible day for the seller. If your a user who has like all 5 star stuff and wanted to buy it for profit instead of letting a new user get it then you might be frowned upon.
Did you delete my post? I didn't know you could do that...
I didn't delete any post. Maybe it just didn't post right? I know it was jerkish to not pay him but everyone needs the money and it's not bannable but he's fine he just had me say that I'm sorry for scamming him and wanted to know if I felt bad for doing it.
what the hell!! "everyone needs 'money'" that's how you justify what you did?! alright, that guy should have been a bit more attentive while trading but the fact that he wasnt does not give you the freedom to take away from him what was rightfully his.true, you wont be banned for this. But play fair bro.and what about all the crappy evidence that you tried to fabricate in that guy's thread? stop being such a cheapo!!
Your did the wrong thing to do.Thats all there is to it, you could have payed him but you didnt, then you tried to re-sell it. Shame on you.

If it was a random walk up to you and trade, then the person was just being an idiot.
However, if you actually made a verbal agreement beforehand saying you were going to pay for it [and didn't], then you did, in fact, break social contract and essentially steal it from him (this is, not counting the seller's error in clicking accept without waiting for payment).
Pichu, you know you did wrong. You know you didn't mail the money. Confess you did wrong and give struxx his 25k.
Christ, man. When the boss kicked you out of the guild, I wasn't entirely sure about his decision, but I trusted his judgement. After seeing this, I'm rather glad that he did.
Whether or not you can get in trouble for something is only secondary to whether what you've done is morally reprehensible, or not. This is clearly a situation in which you face little risk of chastisement, but should still honor your agreement, regardless of this fact. Why? Because you in the wrong, from a moral standpoint, and because it would be scummy to not do so.
If he offers you an item and you accept it and he doesn't complain to you, then I don't see anything wrong with taking the item. If immediately after the trade, he says it was an accident and wants the item back, then you ought to give it back.
There was a beforehand verbal agreement before it, he was suppose to give 25k to him for it, but the owner accidently clicked confirm and well you know the rest.
@Bn28
Karma doesn't exist.
If this were real life and this was in the united states, this would be held up in a court as stealing. You had what would be legally considered a "meeting of minds" in that you both understood correctly what each other meant before the contract went down. A transaction does not require mobster style, both people holding onto two suitcases and letting go of one of them at the same time. Do you do that at a store?
Even though this is not real life, you still stole from this other person. If someone does not report you soon, I will go ahead and do it. Don't you think that if the game logs trades that they also log chats between two people?
^ this.
it was reckless on the part of the seller to click accept w/o looking at what's in the trade window, similar to signing a bill or contract without, at first, reading it. however, you DID agree to pay 25k for his recipe; and, did you pay him? no.
when you were called out on it, you posted faked screenshots claiming you sent the payment when in fact: you did not. that alone makes you a liar. deep down, you must know what you did was wrong because you did make an attempt to cover it up.
don't be a selfish rat and only agree to pay him because you fear being banned--do it because it's the right thing to do.
Holy goddang shark milk batman! Enough with your drama. Resort this kind of thing through the freaking support team/ticket which they have a clear chat log that can be traced to determine whether that person is dumb or he just made a mistake and you are trying to profit from it. Everyone's opinions don't mean squat here. Take it up with the support team. geez
Guys I didn't post this to start another flame war... Struxx and I already have covered this so there doesn't need to be any reporting or anything. It's already over.
Terms and Conditions:
"Scamming and stealing
Don't take what's not yours! - Stealing is defined as taking the in-game property of another knight without the knowledge and permission of that knight. Scamming is stealing from another knight through misrepresentation - examples would be stating that an item can make you invincible, impersonating an administrator or tricking another knight into giving out items or account information. "
I'd say somebody clicking confirm without checking what you've put up doesn't count as you scamming them - if that's how it actually happened. If, for example, you'd put up 30000 crowns, waited for them to cofnrim, and then dropped a digit before confirming yourself, perhaps that would be scamming. But somebody not waiting for you to put up what they're asking for before clicking confirm is simply their fault.
It might not have been moral for you to accept the trade, but it wasn't a scam as far as the terms and conditions are concerned, and it's somewhat unlikely action will be taken against you for somebody else's negligence.
