Before they added the ability
Before they added the ability to return to town, via the same elevator you took down, you used to only be able to take an elevator back up at the Terminals. Other than that you had to use the "Return to Haven" button in the Esc menu. That was back when Moorcroft and Emberlight were their own towns with their own Arcades.
I bet it used to be the Elevator to Haven.
