The recent update removing gunpuppy blindspots makes the arena's third room impossible and unable to complete.
Anyone who's done an area since will agree.
Either:

1. Put the blindspot back
2. Put the blindspot back but only for t1 and t2
3. Put more treasure boxes and minerals at the end of arena.

It's still *possible*. It's just really damn difficult. But I agree: if I was looking for a Bullet Hell game I would go play Ikaruga. Seriously, 12 gun puppies is too many to have them all shooting at once, especially in T3. With the blindspot, though, that scenario is manageable.

The problem is too many gun puppies, especially when it's something like a frost gun puppy where you can't move because each time they hit you they freeze you.

The blind spot also exposes a odd pattern in the turrets. Normaly if you walked up in front of them, they would prepare their attack, and aim towards you. If you went behind them, they would release the attack in whatever direction they were facing. Now they will just spin in circles indefinitely until they get a lock, kinda like when you circle a trojan.

You hate freeze puppies?

Screw freeze. I hate SHOCK puppies. I got MAULED by them in the T2 arena. I couldn't dodge, and shielding was too hard after that, cuz it kept dropping for my 'seizure'.

But if they don't see you, they can't do anything. For me, I assassinate them with a tempered calibur charge. I can already take them out with a single attack, even the armoured ones. Sneak up behind them and they won't turn. It's hard, but it works...eventually...practice...

They're still blind after a

They're still blind after a 2-3 block radius, so it's just a matter of being careful. I can still clear the 8 puppy wave in an arena without more than one attacking me at any given time, so it's hardly impossible to deal with. The blind spot's also not large enough for them to stop you hitting them with a calibur/DA charge attack, which normally one-shots them anyways (you can still get in range to use it before they can turn to shoot you)

Make sure you clear the wave that spawns before them while you're in one of the room's four corners, and you're set.

True. I cleared a 4th stratum ice arena full of a whopping 8 gun puppies right after reading this. It didn't seem harder, but they need to get them to automaticaly fire if they cant get a lock quickly, so they can spread more bullets. If there are 4 turrets, just have each person run around 1, and they will never shoot. All you gotta do is make time to attack them without them catching up to you.

This particular development

This particular development in gun puppy technology isn't particularly difficult to counter. Why not just wait at the edge of the arena, preferably corner and then deal with the last mob. This now allows you the opportunity to wail on one to two gun puppies at a time. If you spawn the 8 gun puppies and are standing in the middle of the arena, then you brought gun hell upon yourself. Just maintain vigilance in concern to the spawn order of the mobs and deal with the situation accordingly. Move to the sides or preferably the corner, dispatch the enemy and enjoy your slightly easier arena.

I've done at least two arena

I've done at least two arena levels since the update, including doing the third arena, and in tier 3. And I have no idea what you're talking about. Impossible? Didn't seem notably harder than normal.

Maybe it's just that I'm used to doing gun puppies by dodging the bullets, and not by exploiting some AI glitch that no longer exists.

Above, I pooh-poohed the

Above, I pooh-poohed the changes to arenas.

I would like to amend that to, the arena I just did is probably the hardest one I've ever done. I was solo, and it started off with two rocket puppies and four greavers. That's six mobs that urgently all have to be killed immediately. I killed the rocket puppies first, as I decided that they were the higher priority. As soon as they died, two retrodes and two darkfang menders spawned. The greavers then chased me around the room, as I constantly interrupted them with my final flourish. All the while, the darkfang menders spammed heals on the greavers, so it took a long time to kill them. Finally, I managed to kill the greavers, which made some darkfang thwackers spawn. Once I killed the darkfang menders, the rest was easy.

What's that? This thread is about gun puppies, you say? Yeah, there were gun puppies. They were cake. Even the group of eight in the final arena. I drew rocket puppies for those eight, by the way. I didn't die in that arena, but I came awfully close twice in the first few waves of the first arena, with a health capsule between those two near-deaths.

who cares about difficulty

who cares about difficulty it changes it very little, the fact is a gun puppies should not be able to 'see' you behind them until you attack, i can walk up to gun puppy side on and they will not 'wake up' until a) i attack or b) move around in front , which makes perfect sense, or behind which seems tremendously stupid
