Two new open spots in the guild from removing inactive people.
Removed two inactives. Room for two more applicants.
Oh. That would explain the spam mail asking me to join.
@KidEternity
"Only the Best" really is quite.. humorous..
Disclaimer: I gquit Knightmare a few days ago but was there since release (so long ago, right?).
Anyways. The guild is certainly mostly friendly (a couple "bad eggs") but they certainly aren't choosy about who they recruit. They say they are, but their roster is full of inactives (usually saw between 5 and 15 people on at any given time in the late afternoon/evening hours (Eastern time GMT-5)). The guild really does just want big numbers for an awesome looking roster length. It's so bad they actually started a second guild to, as far as I can tell, claim they have a huge guild.
There is never anything besides pickup groups (albeit in guild) going out. Guild chat is usually quiet. The leader, Chris, while he logs on, really never says anything besides to register on the guild forums. Which, there is nothing wrong with that, so whatever. The only exception I took, and while I did register, he personally stated in guild chat that if you don't register on the forums, you'll be kicked from guild. Why the forums in a game like SK is so important, I have no idea. Especially since there are zero, no, nadda, guild events to speak of. You log on, see if someone is doing a jelly run, join it or not, and do your own thing.
Now, I'm not discouraging anyone from joining Knightmare. I put a few people on my friends list before I left, there are certainly good people there. But "Only the Best" is not the reality, in any way, shape, or form.
The one thing I really did like about the guild was the fact that it's members (myself included) would post recipes we saw on vendors in the clockworks and would purchase them for each other or camp it for a bit so you could get down there to pick it up yourself.
That was certainly very handy.
So, overall. Not "Only the Best", by a long shot. I'd rate it very friendly (not much elitism, etc). But it's just one of those "recruit everyone" guilds, so caveat emptor, if you will.
Figured I'd also state why I left. A few bad eggs like to take advantage of your free crafting (you know the types) and one serious elitest who thinks guild chat is their own personal chat and if they don't like what you say, you sure are going to get a lot of nasty replies.
