I have an iceburst brandish that when I use the charge atk on a construct doesnt show the "orangy bolded" numbers signifying high dmg.

The little ice explosions after the sword atk does, and so does my regular swings.

Just curious if anybody has looked into this

Nah,

It's still elemental, it does the same thing with my Silent Nightblade on jelly's, but the damage is 400 Charge on jellys, but 300 on conrtuct. Same kind of numbers though. Don't worry, its the same.

I've a Blizzbrand I upgraded

I've a Blizzbrand I upgraded from an Iceburst Brandish and my "super effective" damage was always correctly indicated. I don't know why you might not see your own damage vs constructs in the right color....

You are still doing bonus

You are still doing bonus damage, you just don't get the bonus damage colors/stars. This happens because unlike the first swipe of a basic combo, the charge attack isn't half special/half normal. Only a small portion of the charge attack is special and this small amount doesn't meet the criteria for changing the damage colors at certain depths.

I don't think anyone has figured out exactly what the criteria is for bonus colors. But you can read more about the split damage calculations here:

I also have a blizzbrand, and

I also have a blizzbrand, and the charge attack goes back and forth between showing as blue and orange numbers vs. constructs (mecha knights in arenas, mostly). It seems to vary from floor to floor.

The brandish lines in general seem to be a bit wonky in reporting super-effective damage properly. Maybe some sort of rounding error?
