I just thought it would be awesome if Lichens could fuse to beyond a Giant Lichen Colony. imagine guys, a huge dark red Supermassive Lichen Colony that raises spikes one by one rapidly towards their targets like a homing Snarbolax or has a giant range when it does a 360 *-*

Or what if Toxigels fused, and has a Toxiel Colony, then turns into a Toxilargo?

How awesome would that be? Or not awesome, for that matter? Your opinions guys? :D

This would make certain

This would make certain poison danger rooms basically impossible. If the lichens combine into a lichen colony and the toxigels combine into a toxilargo, then there's nothing to stop the next wave from spawning. Pretty soon, it does spawn. And before long, you're fighting two lichen colonies, two giant lichen colonies, and about six toxilargos all at once. Good luck with that.

Toxigels are hard enough without being able to combine. If you don't think so, then try the in tier 3. Or better yet, try a toxigel/lichen danger room at stratum four or later.

The problem is the mist that

The problem is the mist that the Toxilargoes emit. If they weakened its spike attack I would be fine with the Toxigels fusing.

We need a REAL new enemy

No, the Supermassive Lichen's attacks would be too underpowered if you did it that way. Everyone knows how to deal with tendrils.

What this new enemy would need to do is grab and restrain Knights with countless, unbreakable tentacles that shoot out from the main body, wrapping around their limbs and clogging every joint in their armor, until the Knights stop struggling, at which point they are carried into the Lichen's main body and absorbed inside, the creature's dense, enzyme-packed gelatin keeping the imprisoned Knights in a sedated, relaxed state. Over the course of many days, the Knights are slowly diffused and broken down into Lichens themselves-- during the process, their minds scream against the terrifying transmogrification at first, but slowly, as more gel courses through their bodies, their brains becoming more and more connected and in-tune to the collective mind of the colony, they feel more relaxed and happy, as if they're floating on a warm cloud, followed by bliss and estacy, knowing a kind of freedom as a part of the Lichen Colony they've only ever dreamed about. Now, a part of the creature forever, the Lichen follows all of that Knight's friends and guildmates into the Haven, driven by the passion of the ex-Knight to share this glorious feeling with everyone, seeking them out so that they, too, can become consumed and made an eternal part of the Lichen, followed by all THEIR friends and guildmates...

That's the kind of enemy we need in this game.

Schwa.... Please return those

Schwa.... Please return those sorts of things back to the depths of the interwebs, I'm sure you're a great guy, but a vore story was the last thing I wanted to hear on this board.

@Schwa

Odd, I don't remember Spiral Knights existing in the same world as Neon Genesis Evangelion. :D
Actually, that would make a good boss...although it would have to be toned down a bit.

I just find that 2 more forms

I just find that 2 more forms from the basic Lichen is too little, and Giant Lichen Colony is too weak :(

@OptimusPunk

Now every time you fight a Giant Lichen Colony, you'll have my genius little scene in your head.
