My character moves or slides in random directions while I'm playing. I just lose control of my character. I'll be attacking something to the right of me and I'll slide about 8 "tiles" diagonally into spikes. While I move my character it stutters from tile to tile randomly moving up and down or diagonally without my control. I'm also experiencing frame skipping on the level before the Roarmulus Twins as everyone else in my group was at the time. I defragged my hard drive, I have no firewall, I unplugged my router and tried a direct connection, my video drivers are up to date, java is up to date, my computer overly meets the system specs needed, I set the priority to high for the program, I have no background programs running, and I tried playing on my laptop but have the same problem. I've even seen posts that are from May that explain this exact problem, but there was no official reply. I just want to know if this has been in the works for a fix for the last 4 months or if it can't be fixed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Loss of movement control of my character.
The connection indicator is usually between 3 and 4 bars. I can be stuck at 4 bars and will still be getting pushed everywhere. I am connecting from Louisiana, US. I did several speed tests to places around the world and my connection is 60-80 ping, 13MBps Down, 3MBps Up.
Is that what your speed plan should be at?
I have been checking my speeds throughout the day and monitoring them when I play and I've concluded that my internet speeds are spiking downwards often. I contacted my ISP and they noticed the same problem. They are sending out a tech to fix the issue. That one time of the day I got 13MBps down and 3MBps up was just a time when my speeds were not spiking downwards. Thanks for responding. I will respond if the issue is fixed tomorrow. Thank you.
The tech found a split in one of the cables outside. He replaced the cable and now my speeds are fine and I'm not moving around uncontrollably. Thank you for your help starlinvf. :)
I used to work at an ISP. A thousand calls every time it rains...... .... the ringing.. THE RINGING!!!! *curls up into a ball*
Sounds like severe packet loss if your frame rates are smooth enough. If you check connection indicator on the top right of the radar, are you seeing at least 1 bar? Where are you connecting from?
As for the Ironclaw, its just something you'll have to put up with for the time being. The sheer number of props in that level pushes the limits of the JVM, and will likely stay that way until the game add multi-thread support.
