Increasingly common random disconnections in Blast Network

For the past few days, I've been getting disconnection issues exclusively in blast network matches. One night I counted up to five disconnects in one session, none of which allowed me to rejoin the match in progress due to the new systems in place to deter idlers and such.

As a result of these disconnections, I've lost upwards of a thousand crowns in one night (5x200, give or take another match or two), not to mention a few matches here and there on other nights.

Whereas in Clockworks runs I can go a half-dozen to a bakers' dozen runs (That's 6 to 18) without a single disconnection (But rather a few lag spikes). This is the worst I've had disconnections since fixing my router to be able to play SK consistently.

Is there any way to possibly fix these issues, or maybe make it so that it may be possible for an erroneous disconnection can allow a player back into the match if it's still in progress rather than booting them to Haven?

If not, then it's no big deal, but it is annoying to waste 200 crowns and be denied any chance at getting back into the game and losing any rewards simply because of a poor connection or a hiccup in the link.

Thanks a lot, and despite these issues I'm having a lot of fun with my Krogmo Loot.

Also, on a side note, it seems the Shockburst Brandish line hasn't been added to the Wiki yet.

You should submit an F2 bug

You should submit an F2 bug report every time this happens. AFK detection still seems to be sensitive, and not at all forgiving for people who have lag or disconnect issues.

Blast Network seems to lag a lot, even for people who don't lag in the Clockworks, so it's definitely something wrong with the way BN works. :/
You mentioned fixing your router? What kind of router do you have?

As for your Shockburst Brandish inquiry, drop a note in the Wiki Editors subforum or you can try editing the Wiki yourself. Please follow the format of the other pages, but if you're not comfortable editing the Wiki-regulars would appreciate some screenshots they can upload on your behalf.

I'm using a Linksys WRT54G

I'm using a Linksys WRT54G series router with the web interface fix for the MTU (Manually set the MTU to 1480 rather than Auto or 1500).

Also, thanks for the suggestion about submitting a bug report in-game. I'll remember that from now on. And yes, the lag coupled with the sharp corners to get stuck on (Plus no Snap-to-Grid function which is ever so useful in grid-based games) leads to many deaths, though not as many as me simply underestimating how long bombs will reach (Or getting boxed in by a particularly eager teammate, which is ALWAYS fun =P).

I'm not entirely sure how I would get the screenshots. I know how to use the Steam screenshot interface, but I don't have all the Shockburst line yet. Perhaps I could take screenshots of the weapons in the Preview area of the vendor? Functionally, they're identical to the other Brands other than Shock instead of Fire or Frost status effects.

Thanks for the help Providence.

Oh man my guild is THE BEST

Oh man my guild is THE BEST at team kills. Our PvP matches are so awesome.

Anyway, if you can't get the screenshots don't worry about it. Someone will get to updating that line eventually.

The WRT54G gave so many people so many problems...I'm glad the hotfix helped you play the game. That router's firmware might still be hurting you, so you could try installing DD-WRT or some other firmware, but Blast Network seems to strain even high-end routers so it could just be too intense for the hardware. I feel your pain, but it really does look like we're stuck for now. Q_Q

Yeah, I've rapidly learned

Yeah, I've rapidly learned that it's better to hang back and let the more eager teammates get themselves blasted and then lay down a carpet bombing run and get outta dodge while the enemy is right in the blind spots above my bombs. Running in tends to just get me locked between my bombs, enemy bombs, AND teammate bombs =P

Yeah, I waited for over a week after the launch on Steam before I could play with my friends (Who at that point were already nearing 4 star equipment), then another outage, then I found the hotfix once my friends had 4 and 5 star stuff, so I basically had a free ride to 3 star equipment and enough Snarbolax runs to nab a Bristling Buckler and Snarble Barb.
