How would you like to be able to carry not just one, but 2 shields with you when you delve into the clockworks? Well, I would love that, and I know most would too. Why can we have 4 weapons and 2 trinkets, but only 1 shield? We can even have 2 of each armor slot, though only one for looks, but only one shield? The shield is the most important part of our arsenal, if you use it well, and it would help greatly to have two. If one of your shields breaks, you switch to your other, and you're good to go for a while until your broken one recharges. I would pay 200-250 ce per month for one of these.
Shield Slot Upgrade (30 days)
You have one shield on your back, one shield in your hand. We only have 2 arms, and 4 weapon slots? Where do we keep all those?
In our pockets! Still. This is a bad idea or were like a t3 Trojan. Sorry, -1235464788523565256277625635582"1818191272*/81838876666533322557777777
XD
Even with 2 shields, in t3, both will break in less than 4 hits each. Trojans are just OPed because their shield can't be broken.
4 hits eh?
In FSC, my VPS can take a few zombie breaths and not change color. No UVs
VPS is beast though, mine can probably do the same, but actual hits from those zombies will kill it pretty fast. They do ele damage, no?
Have one shield on the back that's always on, like a T3 meelee gremlin. But that has to run out fairly quicker than regular.
+1
-1 I disapprove of the 'switching shields to recharge the other'. Besides, if you run specific gates, u can use specific shields.
I'd like a shield costume slot though, VPS matches badly with my outfit.
>>They do ele damage, no?
They do. Mine still doesn't break. This is a bad idea. BAD. Atleast someone agreed with me. And that is so true, ou could use a crest of Almire and Grey Owlite shield and be prepared for everything. Once again, BAD! Sorry.
Its not like it would be instant recharge when you switch shields, you'd still have to wait the same time, maybe longer, for it to recharge the shield when you switch, or make both shields take less damage than normal. Shield costume slot is just stupid, I'd rather pay to have another shield than have a shield that looks like another shield.
@Bigfoot, So we can have 4 weapons, one for each weakness, and still be "prepared for everything" so what would be the difference if its shields?
IMO, this is a TERRIBLE idea!
Can you please graveyard this? 2 shields would make the game WAY too easy! Vanaduke would be as easy as Snarby!
The game is easy enough as it is, BigFoot. If anything, the game needs to be harder. No one really cares if you think its a terrible idea, I don't, so find another thread to troll?
Exactly. More shields would make the fame easier! See? Plus this isn't trolling. It's expressing my own ideas.
"4 hits eh?

Depends on what you're getting hit by. Your shield is not going to survive four hits from depth 28 lumbers. It might not even survive one.
>> My point is two shields will
Make this game easier then it is. If ou truly want another shield go file something to support via ingame F1.
The thing about the shield is that it is the wall between you and enemy damage.
It has its own health, so it is basically another player that sponges attacks. Play the cards well and one will only have to rely on the dummy player for single hits, and because their vitality regenerates, this person can potentially have an infinite defense from damage.
Each shield has its own weaknesses, much like armor, that should prevent an endless immunity to everything a player will encounter.
To have multiple shields will defeat this purpose, and effectively grant 2 dummy players to sit behind. Double the health, and double the coverage. During use of the one shield, the other shield will have recovered well over enough, if not at full yet, giving a constant loop and thus this player would never have to take damage.
If someone obtained an armor set that covered all 4 types of defense, they wouldn't be particularly resistant against any of the damage types. Given that a shield is similar to having a full armor set; having two shields would be like using 2 armor sets - 4 armor pieces.
Additionally, having multiple shields is not like having multiple weapons. Weapons help a player deal with enemies easier, while leaving the user open to damage like any other person. They can aid in reducing the possibility of taking damage, but they cannot guarantee spared health.
Bigfoot, adding another shield is a SUGGESTION, which is what this part of the forums is. The suggestion forum. I'm not looking for support in game, which is what the SUPPORT thing in game is for.
Espeonage, I see what you're saying about them recharging before the other dies, but that could be a simple thing to fix. Make both shields have half health if you have 2.
Say you have Crest and Owlite lines. As an example, the crest and owlite can take maybe 5-6 hits of shadow or elemental respectively, but having them both together, either shield can only take 2.5-3 hits, but you can switch to either one when you need it, like say when a gun puppy comes up or when you find something that deals shadow.
And technically, as you put it, shield = 2 armor pieces, so shield + cap + coat = 4 armor pieces.
No. One shield is all you need. The key to survival in this game isn't to hold your shield up to absorb all the enemy damage, it is to evade their hits completely. This is called dodging. If you can't dodge the attack, the shield is your last resort to avoid damage, it shouldn't be the first thing you pick. Your shield has regenerating health so that you can let it cool down to use it afterwards when you will need it again. Having two shields would allow players to tank a whole lot of damage before they would have to resort to running away. Your above suggestion defeats the purpose of a shield if its durability were to be halved. When facing off with a wall of bullets from Tier 3 Gun Puppies I want my Grey Owlite Shield to tank me through the first wave so that I can run away from the second, not break half-way through and then have my Crest of Almire break immediately afterward, leaving me open to damage. And finally, the slower recharge. If anything, that would make the game much harder than it needs to be and is ultimately a pointless suggestion. Otherwise, without the above conditions, it would overpower us.
No support. The focus on survival is dodging, not tanking.
If read in context, a reader would see that I was not referring to the effective total amount of armor pieces this player would be using. The total would be effectively 6 armor pieces.
Regarding your Owlite - Crest example, it still falls under nulling defensive weaknesses in shields, and juggle regeneration is still possible. Ideally, a player should be shielding just 1 or 2 consecutive hits, so
1) It doesn't really matter that their shield has nerfed health
2) In the time that the player ran/attacked and defended with Shield 2, Shield 1 will have regenerated
More than halved shield health will be needed if the feature is desired to be balanced.

This is even worse then shield costume slots. Sorry. We don't have 4 arms my fellow friend.
