I recently obtained a shockburst brandish after throwing away my piece of crap striker. I really want to eventually get the voltedge but i don't know if its even worth it. Also im wandering if the magnus series is good, please reply and thank you. One otherthing, please do not say stuff like "afk" and "fsc" or whatever because i have no clue what that even means.
is the shockburst brandish series good??

Very good.
I would say itʻs an excellent choice, all of the brandishes are great, the only difference is what status their charge attack will do. The reason why the iceburstʻs charge is somewhat unliked is because most of the time you will just end up breaking the ice you just made, so it doesnʻt go to use. And why people donʻt like the fireburst is because you canʻt really light much stuff on fire in FSC (Fire Storm Citadel, and now you know). You could also argue that you canʻt use shock against quicksilvers, but I donʻt know why youʻre using an elemental on slimes anyway.
But even at that, itʻs only going to happen when you use the charge attack so itʻs not that big of a difference. But you may have trouble getting all of the recipes.

Thanks guys that answered my question pretty well, and yes, i know i'm going to have to work my butt off in pvp if i want those recipes.
Every brandish line is decent, though a lot of players swear by the Avenger as their elemental sword. Shockburst brandish is perfectly useable.
Magnus is ok, but it needs a little learning to use properly. Most pure gunners carry one, but a lot of people feel that a snarble barb or flourish is better for the monters magnus is good against.
