Hey everyone, I would just like to ask the Spiral Knights community about which armor(suits and helms) and weapons are most common because I'm trying to wear a helm and suit that not a a lot of people have. However, I don't want anything in the realm of circuitbreaker/blizzbreaker/emberbreaker cause I don't think they are that good.
I was thinking skelly, jelly, or skolver. Any thoughts/ideas? I've only been playing for about a week or 2 so I'm still not very good at the game in general.
But any help is appreciated, thank you!
Most overplayed armor/weapons and which are the least commonly used?
and how does that work? What I want people to see, is that the costume slot?
Items equipped in the costume slots are the items players will see you using. Actual gear can be hidden this way if you don't like the looks.
For example, I am currently levelling up my Fallen armour set, but I prefer the looks of my Grey Feather set. I simply equip my Grey Feather Mantle and Cowl in my costume slots and now it looks like I'm using Grey Feather instead of Fallen.
yea, i've usually got some ugly combination of vog and skolver on underneath my costume, but I usually am wearing a 1* vitasuit and a pink jelly helm, and unequipping my shield in haven.
My alts all wear the same thing too. It's a funny sight when I quint-box to move supplies around.
The most used armour set will prob be vog while the least used is the bombastic bomber set :3
Skolver. Skolver all the way.
Nah, I'm kidding. On the other hand, it's kinda sad. Nine out of ten times I find someone wearing Skolver that isn't me, I inspect, only to find out they're wearing Vog underneath. How unoriginal.
I agree with the Bombastic Bomber set. And Wolver lines being way overused.
I haven't seen many people with Silvermail, other than my friend. Or some of the armors that don't guard against status effects.
Silvermail is quite nice for the blue color, but if you don't care about the color just get the angelic raiment, it looks mostly the same (except color is dependent on knight color and a texture on the front) and you can get it at 3* instead of building it up to 4*.
And just to reiterate, build a costume set, don't sacrifice survivability just to so you can look "unique". Certain armors are used alot for a reason.
Deadly virulisk.
So far I have seen only 3 other people with it.
But the jelly line would be pretty nice too.
Wolver line, any of them, are the most common and overused.
If you're worried about looks, use your costume slots to look different. This does however mean that you'll have to make another set of armour... When it comes to the practical bit, use anything that allows you to survive. Customization is key, and letting looks screw you over is the last thing you want. Like I said, use costume slots for looks. That is all.
