I have wolver cap, wolver suit, voltbreaker shield, caliber, fire brandish, and haze bomb.
I don't know what to save up for now. I was planning on Chroma stuff but I want to get a different pieces of equipment to counter each element.
Please help me out!
I have NO idea what to do next
I second that advice, get a 4* or even 5* set to make yourself financially self-sustaining. At the lowest levels you make more money than you spend in elevator costs (assuming you don't revive).
Give priority to your calibur, owlite shield (I'm hoping you're going to make one) and then armor in that order until everything is 4* and you gain access to Tier 3. Drop the volt shield. Forget about the bomb, at least until you have a basic T3 set to fall back on should you dislike the new upgraded version.
Last, consider if you want to continue with the fire version of the brandish considering that the last (and only tier 3) dungeon in the game is entirely fire themed. It's not a bad weapon, it just suffers in that particular dungeon and it's easy weigh your options at 2-3 star before switching becomes really expensive. Do a forum search about what the differences between brandishes are and which is best for you. Consider that the shock variant is really new, you might need to look up some info on that one separately.
How to be pro at spiral knights
Vog Cub Cap
Vog Cub Coat
Divine Avenger
Argent Peacemaker
Barb Thorn Shield/Volcanic Plate Shield/Grey Owlite Shield
Leviathan
Gran Faust
2x Sword Damage trinkets
That is also "how to be a clone of 90% of players".
Getting the same stuff as everyone else does not make you a "pro". It only avoids mistakes you might make. Other gear is viable as long as you are aware of the levels where you will spend the most time at.
Yes but you will hardly find any other set (I'm refering to Vog) that gives you such good bonus as a swordy.
Sorry to say but everyone uses Vog set/Levi/Grey Shield simply cuz they offer the best bonuses on the game (regardless of you doing FSC or not)
Same goes for the Mad Bomber set for bombers. Just buy the stuff that gives you the best bonuses for your playing style and then colect other costumes just for looks. As for weapons, there are popular choices, but its up mostly on your play style.
I have this set planned:
Vog set
Dark Thorn shield (Grey Owlite for FSC)
Polaris
Shivermist or Electron bomb
Leviathan blade
5* brandish sword, most likely Fire line (DVS for Boss strata)
And thats my set minus the brandish, I get a nitronome, i guess we are all clones in the end :(
Thanks, this thead has inspired me to sell my ash tail cap, and make a Divine Veil. I shall not be a clone any longer! Huzzah!!!!!!
(Of course it might back-fire and go with the vog cap with me coat. Hope it doesn't.)
lol this is almost 100% my build, besides for Leviathan blade, I have Barb Thorn blade and shivermist.
The point is, everyone has the good items on their sets, if you wanna be "cool" just collect the items that makes the best set for you (even if you become a "clone") and then collect items for costume only, this way you look different but still have the best bonuses.
First you should upgrade the gear you have to 4* before you expand to different sets. I would suggest upgrading the calibur first as it is effective against virtually everything in the game, and your weapon is the most important piece of gear. After that, I would get a different shield, as the voltbreaker can only be upgraded to 3*. The owlite shield line is the most popular, since it is effective against the more deadly element attacks in higher tiers.
The wolver armor you have is fine and can be upgraded once you can afford it. Save your secondary weapons until your main weapon, shield and armor are at least 4*. Also, I don't have first hand experience with it, but the haze bomb line isn't that good according to most people. The freezing vaporizer line is best if you want a control bomb, or you can go with the blast bomb line for straight damage.
You'll probably eventually want a gun as well after all the above. Since you don't yet have a shadow weapon, a shadow alchemer or catalyst/toxic catalyst line gun would fill that hole. Piercing is the damage type you can live without the most, so don't worry about that until later.
I wouldn't bother with the Chroma armor set, and you really don't have to worry about a 2nd armor set until much later. You can easily beat anything in this game by learning the attack patterns and avoiding/shielding most damage, armor is just a backup.
