With my Setup, Snarble Barb/Callahan/Acheron 4th

So i run a pretty (well as much as i can) generalist setup, so i like covering up what my other weapons lack, so for my 4th weapon slot i was wondering which would be better as my 4th weapon slot
i ALWAYS run with max ASI for swords, just too used to it

Vog 5* gear
Swiftstrike buckler / Crest of almire
trinkets are either 2 gun ASI med or 1 gun ASi med, 1 sword ASI med (adjusted with shield)

1. Glacius
2. Storm Driver
3. Shivermist
4. (Topic) ATM its Acheron

I know glacius and storm both are elemental, however the only monster types that resist the elemental are beast and gremlins, so i use my Acheron to take them out (with VH CTR) i would charge, unleash and then rinse and repeat. However in arenas where there are gremlin bombers or they are stuck in a group of lumbars its not THAT practical to just walk up and unleash a charge, so would the better choice be to invest into a callahan? Or snarble barb (since i am mainly a sword user)

I like having a barb thorn

I like having a barb thorn blade for gremlins/wolvers/greavers. As for the bomb, I no longer find shiver all that useful and have started relying on grav and voltaic tempest. I find the shivers usefulness to decline once you gain more experience with the mobs/levels.
My weapon loadout for t3 non fsc runs:

glacius
barb thorn blade
Polaris
voltaic tempest/grav bomb

ctr & dmg trinket
barb thorn shield
skolver or vog set depending on what levels they are.

For fsc, I use a da in place of barb thorn and sometimes use argent instead of Polaris.

You can really go either way.

The Callahan and Barbarous Thorn Blade will both handle beasts. The BTB will dispatch them much more quickly though, and is useful for FSC due to its barrier-defying charge attack.

Acheron is perfect for gremlins due to the massive damage. On the other hand, BTB interrupts gremlins frequently due to its knockback and knockdown. The Callahan can be used to safely kill gremlins, particularly those annoying bombers, just back them into a corner and snipe away... it'll just take a while due to the low damage.

In the end, I'd recommend trying out the BTB and then switch it out with the Acheron depending on what the strata looks like.
