I had heard that the status-affliction protecting trinkets didn't work. For example, the curse resistance trinkets actually give nothing to protect against curse, its damage or its duration. Is this true or just another rumour?

I really hope they fix this
I really hope they fix this bug, assuming its a bug. I'm finally closing in on 100 of each of the drop tokens and it'd really suck for the trinkets they buy to be, y'know...worthless.

Resist and defence trinkets sucks...
Yeah i wasted 100 forge and 50 primal sparks on fire and piercing trinkets. Tested them in Advanced Training Hall and vs mobs and no effect... The fire doesn't last less and i get same 1.5hp damage from jellies (I'm with Ash Tail set). I wonder does curse trinkets are useless with faust too? If Krogmo event will last much time ill get sword ctr or dmg trinkets (I think ill take 2 dmg).

this question shows up pretty often. as far as the curse trinket/faust question, a few weeks ago there was a study on here. it came out that you were cursed something like every 4.5-something charges. with trinkets, it was about 4.4-something. pretty much useless.

A better use of tokens...
A good use of your tokens will be to get rare materials to craft with or to sell. Get krogmo coins or buy yourself a cheap Mod Calibrator and craft yourself trinket modules. Module trinkets are a much better investment.
I've extensively tested them myself... as you can see in this picture below...

I know right... seriously... worst investment ever. I could have used the tokens to get rare materials and sell them to net ~420,000 crowns.
There's been a lot of testing on this subject over in the wiki editors section. The status trinkets don't have any noticeable effect, and the defense trinkets are good for maybe a pip or so of damage if you carry two.
