I really don't want to spent any money on CE just to be able to play the game. And it seems that making profitable runs on the higher tiers gets more and more difficult (at least thats how it seems on just reading the forums) Is it possible or even allowed to make 2nd characters and then transfer the crowns over to my Main Character? I enjoy playing the game but I feel like theres a time limit on this game when once you use up your 100 energy you have to wait a full 22 hours to enjoy the game again.

Actually

Even if you DO make a 2nd character, your ME will be linked keeping you from doing whatever you were planning on doing. The only way to un-link them is to buy CE (with real money) on either character.

You will find detailed

You will find detailed informations on the Energy FAQ : http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Energy_FAQ

To summarize, if you make another knight on the same account, the Energy will be shared. If you make another account on the same computer, the Energy will be shared as well. The only way to have several distinct Mist Energy pool is to have several account with (n-1) paid and one free to play to have (n) separate mist energy pool.

You may want to spend 2.45$ on your main account to have it considered has paid and use another as a free-to-play account.

Else you are stuck with only 100 energy / 22H.

oh, and remember...

Even if you DO unlink your characters to get more ME, you'll still need CE for stuff like crafting. But I don't recommend buying CE with real money unless you REALLY don't like the CE:CR market. ;)

$2.45

Is like giving you 100 additional mist per "day" on another account... it can be used for crafting, gameplay, or buying slot upgrades... not to mention 750 CE up front...

If you aren't able to pay, you'll just have to play your alt on another computer to avoid hijacking your main account's mist energy.
