I was wondering how a costume works. Does it go over your equipped armor (to be seen by all players and myself) but then the equipped armor is the one that takes damage? Also will a costume be seen on a mission? Example: Equipped=Skolver Coat, Costume=Vog Cub Coat Will the Vog Cub Coat be seen by the players and enemies but the Skolver Coat take damage?

Yep, it basically works like that. Your costume is what you look like on the outside, but your equipped stuff is the one that does and takes the damage. :)

A costume armor is the armor

A costume armor is the armor it looks like you're wearing, while the armor you have equipped will be the armor that you'll have defense and status resistances from. Costume armors are only aesthetic.
So yeah, you've got the right idea.

Yep. Though there are plenty of noob combos for costumes that look great. Like demo helm with wolver coat. It just looks boss.

If your looking for a cheap

If your looking for a cheap and great looking coustume, try brute jelly helm, it goes well with just about all other coustumes. and it isnt high tier enough to attract too many beggars. plus it can be obtained FOC from jelly king for 15 tokens [i suggest you do this only after you got all the weapons from JK], the 5* version of it is a crown made of jelly, so yeah it looks good
