I seriously hate them in FSC, i can solo vanaduke but cant solo trogans [got ditched by team, soloed vana with 2 revives, before the update anyway] I want a weapon that can kill them as fast as possible while still being useful. I have been owned by single trogans before due to lag. so i will need a weapon i can use without much concern for lag. Any suggestions?
Weapon against trogan
hmmm I have a dark thorn blade... should i try bringing it to FSC? but sacrificing my shivermist... hmmmmm.. okay i will try it later
^what he said, get a BTB its easily one of the top 3 swords in the game, i never swap out my BTB for another sword no matter whats in the stratum... DA/BTB/Levi/Polaris and you can solo just about any stratum with or without boss lvls ;)
In FSC, my Blitz can 1-shot a Trojan with all for players. Just have to position myself where he spawns and release a charge hit.
Any bomb can get the job done. It just takes a while.
Shivermist buster to freeze a trojan in place, and then a charged final flourish to hit the trojan from behind, can take one out pretty quickly.
Ryoga, does your Blitz 1-shot trojans at 4 players without any damage buffs? Or do you require some fiend dmg/gun dmg bonuses to do the 1-shot kill?
Deals 150+/- (just got lv1) x 15 with a Charge. 2250 - lv1 ;)
Nitronome/DBB - drop behind and have them turn their back on it (solo is like 5+ bombs though)
RSS - same thing but the timing is weird; you can get them to charge over it or use it while they're distracted (solo in 1-5 bombs depending on how lucky you are)
Blitz - blitz charge either with or without aggro, very effective (one shot solo but a bit dangerous due to getting stuck if you get stunned while shooting charge shot)
Levi charge - spin around them while charged and wait for them to stop spinning then unleash behind them; very effective (not one shot but it should take 2 charges or 1 charge + 3 swings)
FOV charge - same as above; one shots solo might one shot in 2 or 3 person party depending on uv/bonuses (one shot solo)
Any sword - lure them into sword down then circle around and hit 2-3x (depends on dmg, I believe my glacius is 6 swings or so)
Flourish/Snarby charge - same as above but more damage; may or may not one shot depending on party size or if the flourish slides off the trojan for some reason (i can't remember snarby but flourish should one shot solo)
Trojans are fiends and as such they are weak to Piercing... Vanaduke is also slightly weak to piercing... a Final Flourish should be a good choice to take with you, and with Trojans its charge attack could be really helpful.
i'm surprised you're having problems with a shivermist in your pocket. Granted, it's not a lot of 1-shotting, but a shivermist, then a charged lev/CIV/BTB to the unmoving back does a lot of safe damage.
Barbarous Thorn Blade.
End of story. Nuff said.
Oh come on, there is more to the story than that!
No bonuses. It has a low bonus versus Constructs and my armour is a Dragon Scale Helmet and Radiant Silvermail, so I have bonuses for Beasts and Undead. With 4 players in the party, I can 1-shot a Trojan with the charge.
I can 1 shot Trojan with blitz charge in 3 person party but not 4 person. :/
@eek5
Monster health increases with more players.
Player damage does not.
If you place a Radiant Sun Shards bomb in the right area, and then kite the trojan into it, you can get all of the shards to hit the trojan, each doing lots of damage. I also support using Argent Peacemaker(although its rather difficult to get), and Blitz Needle, because they hit hard on fiends(however, if you're fighting multiple enemies, you are vulnerable to attacks while using Blitz Needle).
@OverDingle
No shi.. I was posting in response to Ryoga who claims he can one shot trojans with Blitz charge in 4 player party but thanks for the useful information.
Try a Barbarous Thorn Blade or Blitz Needle. Both can kill Trojans with one or two charge attacks, and the former is fairly useful throughout the run aside from that; both are useable against every enemy in FSC except gun puppies (no experience with Blitz in FSC, but it's known to one-shot trojans with the charge attack with 1 or 2 players)
According to what I've heard, the Thorn Blade's charge attack can attack monsters through barriers... even though I own one, I've never actually tried this myself. It's also a very useful weapon outside FSC for fighting beasts and fiends, so you wouldn't regret getting one.
Both Blitz Needle and Thorn Blade start at 2*, so you can get hold of them for testing pretty easily; as for changes as they upgrade, Thorn Blade gets an upgraded charge attack at 4* and another slight upgrade to it at 5*. Blitz Needle increases in range a few times as you upgrade it and gets some knockback and hitstun too.
