What's with the lag in Blast Network?

The more I play it, the worst it seems. An average 3 times a game everything freezes and the characters go out of style..they totally get OUT OF THE MAP and once it ends, I'm dead. No seriously, can't ever figure where I stand or drop my bombs. When will player coming from else than USA have the right to proper playing conditions?
PvP is highly unfair for any non-US player.

Super bug- Alone in Coliseum. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/843/spiral20110816230946.png/

The AFKers used to keep the arena stable XD

I doubt, but I still feel more lag since that anti AFK patch. Probably due to the fact that now each player is submitted to some constant system checkup
Sarcasm detection fail.
And a constant check wouldn't require increased net traffic. In fact asking the client if you're moving / playing would be the worst way to do the checking since that's where all the spoofing would come from.

Whichever reason it might be, it won't change the fact that PvP lags highly.

it's us players having issues as well. I have an outstanding internet connection, excellent hardware and yet ever since this last update they did to dishonor afk'rs lag has been absolutely horrendous in the BN.

Lolwut?
ALONE IN COLISEUM. Suddenly, game connection drops like **** out of my you know what and..

I played the game, there was nobody in. Good call. I won 700 crowns, 2 Krogmo Coins and LAG killed me thrice only.
No seriously. WTF?
(Meanwhile, on www.pingtest.net ... http://www.pingtest.net/result/45381681.png That's a A grade, not saying my connection is tops, but its A graded. I shouldn't have a red signal in-game. Still no sign of consideration for players from else than America, and that's what results)

thoran will you stop with it's everyone outside of america that is having problems, it's people everywhere that are having issues. it's not like everyone in america has a lag free connection directly to SK everytime they log in, it bumps one of you international peeps down a notch. that isn't the case like i said I know myself and many others that i have talked to in the us are having a ton of issues as well.

I think you can't judge yourself of the situation SGT. Let me clear things out: there's a huge difference between playing from US and playing from Europe, or more generally Asia, Africa NZ/Australia: for us USA are oversea, and West California for the luckiest about 8k miles away.
Playing from US, in worst condition you're at like: 3.5k miles max from California, your connection doesn't go oversea, therefore the network is dense.
Yes I feel all the right to complain about those gaming conditions. I pay for this game, and so do many other players in the same situation as I. Its totally legitimate to suggest activities such as PvP are biased. Now if you really want me to consider what you say, try playing from Europe or anyelse I mentionned, maybe you'll understand better what I mean. Lol.
For me it's the fire/spike hazard room with the 3 trojans and slags in depth 27. Even with low graphical quality, a quadcore, around 2200 mhz memory clock, transfer rate 256 HD ATI Diamond Viper card, 8 gigs of memory, this thing is still lagging between 7-20 seconds every 5-10 secs with 4 people. I haven't gotten that far solo, but I hope I don't run into this problem again. It's hell. We've invited like 2 more people after some left and wasted ce, til they got trapped, til a game master showed up and helped us all get a free ride to Vanaduke, which was pretty sweet. I'm guessing one of the members knew some of the game masters and asked for help, but he mentioned that he only met them twice, even though it seems he could message all of them, but I'm guessing he rarely sees them.
Anyway, I just don't know how people got the blackened crest and fang of vog with a group. Weird thing is, the people I've asked said they weren't lagging, but they're dying as much as me? o.O
It shouldn't really be that difficult, just the network lag pauses, argh.

Yes I see exactly which room you mention. Its awfully laggy, even solo. I also got a "high" quality PC (or at least it was a year ago) and I still get those freezes. I think they are mostly due to network, but there's also that memory leak theory thing. Like for example if I stay an hour in Haven 1 AH, afterwards my game will freeze every 10 seconds or so. Really disturbing.
But anyway, its mostly network problems. No matter how badass my computer and Internet connection are, I can't play the game properly from where I am. Which is quite silly because OOO actually bothered translating the game in my language, but that's only half of the work done to actually make the game as good as anyone for us "foreigners".
Quick geography lesson:
The UK is not in the US. Stop saying "non-US" because it does work fine "non-US".

Quick lesson: if over a hundred person in the same case, only one doesn't seem to be concerned, he's called an outcast. That's what you are, and you don't represent the other 99. Here's what you can learn from that: good for you, get out. And thanks for the geography lesson, I know where rosbeefs live: in my plate.
OK. logic lesson then:
"All non-US" means "Everyone outside the US". All it takes to invalidate that statement is to find a single person not in the US that doesn't have an issue.
And name-calling really doesn't help your position. It just looks like you're whining more.
If you can properly identify the regions that are having the worst lag then perhaps something could be done about it. Or you could make false generalizations that simply cloud the issue and nothing can get done. I don't mind if you lag, it's in your best interests to be more specific, not mine.
And since I'm on a cheap, comparitively slow line here in the UK (the bog standard BT line. 7MBs) I probably am a decent yardstick for how the game plays in the UK.

"there's a huge difference between playing from US and playing from Europe, or more generally Asia, Africa NZ/Australia"
Its just 2 blocks up. Besides, not that I want to make you sound silly but it was sort of "implied" I was talking about other continents, when I mention "non-US" (its quite obvious). Anyway, I have a better internet raw speed and my connection displays A grade on nearing servers, yet I lag, and I would add a lot, compared to plenty other online games. Not finger-pointing anything but lag is certainly in the top 3 complains lag somewhere between CE threads and "it was better before update threads". To clarify, it means the issue is clearly there. Some might be less sensitive to it than others, but it remains. If you got anything to add.

"Besides, not that I want to make you sound silly but it was sort of "implied" I was talking about other continents, when I mention "non-US" (its quite obvious)."
Wait a minute. The UK is on the same continent as the US. Damn I should have paid better attention in elementary school. :+0
More on topic, the netcode for this game does seem to be a bit suboptimal. I wouldn't hold my breath for any major fixes though. (I've never seen any game do major upgrades to their netcode.)
You do realise that the UK is part of Europe right? I mean we may be an island but we're still considered part of the continent (being on the same continental shelf and whatnot).
Maybe if you started mentioning where in the world you actually are instead of making vague handwaving gestures about Europe / Asia / Africa / Atlantis you might start getting some more helpful answers.
Maybe someone near you knows of an ISP with a better ping through to the US, but noone knows where in the world you are so noone is even able to help at this point in time.

I live in CA and I still have lag. Had lag, anyways. its better now. wait, CA does have a SK server, right?
Well it runs smoothly for me here in the UK and we're non-US.
