has anyone thought of this yet??
a way to turn your unsued mist energy into crystal energy
i've been thinking about this for a little while now and it seems like it could help with the energy crisis
if someone has brought this up before please ignore the rest of this topic - i haven't had time to check all the threads

it could work as a new weapons/trinket slot that could use crowns or CE to unlock and turn unused mist into crystal energy.

some of the mechanics:

it could cost around 5k crowns or 50 energy to unlock - this could do some damage control on the CE market and hopefully keep prices under 5k
it would last for a day - so it's of little benefit to continous players
in not sure whether to have a 1-2-1 or a 2-2-1 conversion factor - 1 mist for 1 crystal or 2 mist for 1 crystal

this is about all i have right now so its still open for more suggestions

Good ideas. Here is another.

I suggest to transform materials you don't need or want to sell in Auction House into energy, but not crystal energy since that would have a huge affection toward the balance which is already an issue in the Market.

Example:

ME = mist energy

0 star material = 0 ME
1 star material = 1 ME
2 star material = 2 ME
3 star material = 3 ME
4 star material = 4 ME
5 star material = 5 ME

This example would make you have two decisions. Either you put the specific material into Auction House so you gain few to a huge lump of crowns or you transform that material into mist energy whenever you should find yourself in a critical timed situation. Those materials that have no stars could not even be transformed so you could just sell them or put them into auction or use them. This does not affect the game so much since you really need materials to have personal development in equipment and you need the best equipment for the evolution and progress of your journey to the Core. You can also only carry 100 mist energy inside your tank so there is an actual limit to how much you could produce ordinary energy this way, but I also suggest to have a small cooldown timer at the shopkeeper who would perform this kind of transformation service. Maybe add a yellow giant to do this or whatever they were called?

Choices choices choices... so many of them and yet the only person to decide would be you.

Huh...

By "Mist Condenser," I thought you meant turning 100CE to 100ME. I think it's a good idea. ._.

@Duke: yea i meant a usable i've never bought any upgrades so i never knew how they worked

@yussuf: nah i dont think that will work. the idea of the AH was to convert items into crown and in turn convert it to CE

the issue is since we can get CE by converting a "free" resource, ME, it becomes trivial to get CE. less people will buy it with real money with supports the company

I was expecting this to be a CE -> Mist thread, as I've had the idea too. I don't think OOO will ever add a way for users to generate CE other than paying irl money (although I wish they would, in small amounts).

I do, however, like the idea of a 1-way conversion of CE -> Mist, but in a 1:2 ratio (otherwise, why bother?)
It would be 1-way, meaning it can't be undone. The only real point of it would be allowing us to use CE to play more, in the form of doubled Mist conversion. Yes, it could also be used to supplement crafting, but the cap would still be 100 mist so I don't think 3* & above would be impacted too badly.

I've realized a flaw in this idea. There already is a condenser, it's called the arcade. People use their mist to venture through the clockworks to earn crowns and buy CE. So this would be an idea for those playing with time restrictions. I for example play for an hour up to the daily scheduled server reboot and sometimes have extra unused mist that would go to waste. Turning it to crystal would help alot.

Having it cost 50 energy and converting 2 mist to 1 ce and lasting for 1 day would be pointless for other players. Hmmm it's starting to sound weird...

And I'm not sure what the ce->me idea is, could someone elaborate.
