I recently played a danger room in depth 1 of tier 1 and my weapons were nerfed. I was using a grand flourish w/ a medium UV against beasts. When I fought the easiest gremlin thwackers and chroma whelps I was only doing 23 pts. (usually 30-35 vs. gremlins and 35-44 vs. beasts w/out the UV) of damage on each strike. Has anybody else noticed if they are nerfing peoples attacks in this danger room ?.
Nerfed damage in tier 1 danger room
I assume you know that your weapon gets nerfed in teir 1. Additionally, the farther you go down the more damage you do and the health monster have.
Ex: I can one shot gun puppies with my glacius on depth 1, but on depth 7 it takes 3 swings.
I think his point is that his weapon was doing less damage in a danger room, than it was outside of the danger room on the same level.
This is normal. The mosters in a danger room have more defense than normal, consequently you do less damage to them.
The monsters inside danger rooms have higher defense.
The monsters in danger rooms are "imported" from deeper floors. As such, they have higher stats, including defenses, than non-Danger-Room monsters on the same floor. (In the second half of a tier, this goes as far as importing monsters from the next tier down! Watch out, Danger Rooms in the second half of Tier 2 will have some monsters from Tier 3!)
Dangerroom monsters are taken from the next Stratum!!
"Dangerroom monsters are taken from the next Stratum!!"
Mostly, yeah. Menders are the exception. Far as I've seen, Stratum 4 (Tier 2 second half) danger rooms won't have Tier 3 Gremlin Menders, even if all the other Gremlins and Wolvers in the same room are from Tier 3. (Though I seldom go into Stratum 4 danger rooms without a teammate packing a 5* status bomb...)
