About the 3000 energy topics...
Really, the reason is simple, how is the AH running and working?
People scout the prices, undercut to get it sold, people that buy buy the cheapest.
It all works well.
So, why is the Energy market different?
is it OOO's doing?
Is it the rush weekends?
Nah really its simple, people are simple minded, there is a huge auto-sell auto-buy button,
heck most people use it, meaning, if you drive up the prices, they just press it, they need the energy, right?
They take whatever the price says, since they dont know anything else.
If the energy market was working the same way as the normal market (in layout)
and the auto-buy button got removed, id bet my **** that the prices wil rise down rather fast, since people wont get their stuff sold.
As it is now, you instantly gets cash from selling it, but if it took a while, to get it sold, and you could be at the bottom for ages. ofc you would lower your prices.
The prices is a result in nothing else besides new players that dont care, and laziness.

Y'know - I thought about slamming my head on a desk after seeing there was ANOTHER energy topic - but selling CE the same way it's sold at the AH is *actually* a good idea, one that I haven't heard of as of yet.
And I've been here since before steam - where the forums were nothing BUT energy topics :P
Once the weekend ended the prices jumped, probably since everyone was no-lifing the clockwork while it was all half price.
Suddenly you realize you've used a TON of your energy stock.
Basic supply and demand, there was little demand because of the high supply and low usage.
Surge ends, and bam the demand is back.
Not that simple thou.
Combine that with the no-brainer button of hell, and add a wave of new players realising they can run more then a few times a day, since Mist energy is not the only option now, they can just press the button and magical earn CE! woho!
The prices rise by 10-50 each time, people press the prices higher since they want to see if they can get the cash from it.
the newcomers don't notice, and this continues until the prices are so high its a difference even they feel.
This is where we land now.
If the system was a bit like the current AH, people would have noticed in a different way not halting it completely, but take it a bit easier and not just pressing blindly.
And the seller of CE would have noticed that they were so deep down on the huge list they would never sell their wares, id bet a huge percent of them would be impatient and lower the prices or not jump to much, as it is possibly now, because people blindly press the button, they need it right away, no matter what right?
yah the topic couldn't be worse right? :) but after hearing so many wierd stories about how they end up high, and how people are going to force it down I just thought what the hell, its all about stupidity, not a perfect marketing, OOO, or anything.
A zergfest with a way to easy button, new confused players (trust me, most people are confused on buying CE, some players still think you need real cash to get over 100 energy, and people that can take advantage of them.

You should edit your title. With yours, that's 3001 already. Market system certainly won't change, its designed to be easily reachable by any player, from newbie to endgamer. CE price will always change simply because there are tons of factors that determines the CE<>CR conversion, not even mentionning that the slightest update or just event can add more factors to the list. Every F2P game deals with the same issue, that's unavoidable: converting the goods obtained in cash to the virtual currency of the game.
Your right there, but the current system benefit the ups and downs more then one think really ;o
Just wanted people to pay notice on that, after all wierd topics about the "issue" that you see float around. :D

energy be an AH tradable commodity in lots of 100 months and months ago. If CE really is "player driven market" then this woulnd't change a thing. I still think its the best solution/option avaiable.

I feel guilty, I'm not exactly new, but I used to be part of the people who "zerg" at the energy market, even back when it was 6,800. :D
If it dont became clear, loads of new players, during power-zerg everyone could easily manage to get the stuff they want also. ;D
