For those who have gone the deepest, you'll have noticed an addition to the Firestorm Citadel. (I'm speaking ironically, I know I'm pretty much the only one down there at this point. I brought Aeca with me, though.)

This is almost identical to Royal Jelly Palace - Red Carpet Runaround, but instead of keys, cute little things. And a lot deadlier situations, including a respawning rocket turret circular room, and a much easier spinning fireball chain (like from mario) room. Good times, really.

Thoughs and general stuff, maybe wiki things ensue.

Also, the heat for all 4 levels was far from impressive.

Yes, he carried me on his back the whole time.

Also, the heat for all 4 levels was far from impressive.

No, only 6 of them. But there

No, only 6 of them. But there are 8 available.

And, Aeca is right. The reduced heat from Slags is horrible. For the amount of monsters killed in Firestorm Citadel, we got as much as a plain clockworks level in Tier 2.

Old, but I want to comment on

Old, but I want to comment on this post by Magnus:

A GM suggested that I start a thread or that we all come together to sort of talk about how we feel the heat gain from T3 is compared to T2. I've noticed that most T3 levels give miserable heat compared to 2.

Relative

The heat seems fine to me. I think it has more to do with the first stratum being bad and the second stratum being good, regardless of tier. Also I think too many people are basing it on Jelly Palace and that stratum needs to be nerfed heatwise.

Edit: Not related, but lolwtf. I just checked my Gate Map before getting on the lift to make sure it was going to take me to Spiral Court II (which I prefer over Spiral Court I) and in between the time it took me to close my Gate Map and walk 3 steps it must have shifted on me.

Actually, I can do any Tier 2

Actually, I can do any Tier 2 stratum pretty much and get a bunch of heat compared to anything in Tier 3. Hell, a Tier 3 graveyard solo compared to a Tier 2 graveyard solo is pathetic in that the Tier 3 is much harder for roughly identical heat gains (or worse, really).

Working on Vanaduke

Me and a few others in my guild are working on Vanaduke, only really made two attempts on him. First time we died in phase 3 (After the first mask phase) second time we were on the last Phase (5?) we had broken his mask and delt some damage but we had some dead weight so no dice on a kill.

We decided on a strat that we could use to both kill him and eventually farm the Slag Knights in hopes that they drop the Blackened Crest for my Crest of Amire.

Phase 1 - 2 people spam Shivermist Busters on Vanaduke keeping him in place, the other two clean up Zombies and damage the Boss, making sure all 4 players stay clear of his front to prevent him from being able to crash down the ceiling.

Phase 2 and 4 - Bombers are now on water duty, timing it so the mask has as close to 0 movement time as possible. Dodge fire, not much else to say.

Phase 3 and 5 - a repeat of phase 1 but now one of the damage dealers will clean up any fire pits on the floor, and guns become the primary means of damaging Vanaduke.

If executed correctly one should in theory be able to farm slag knights all day.

Steps and leaps

If the heat gains are equal or slightly less in T3 that's fine. If it's way less that's an issue.

The thing is that T3 can't give more of everything or it'd just get way too out of hand. If it gave more crowns, heat, mats, and was the only way to get 5 star recipes and mats then it'd just be too much better than the previous tier. The gap would be too wide. As is, T3 mats already go for way more than the other mats and it's probably profitable running them just for that.

Edit: Cry, spoilers.

really?

Idk maybe i am way off on this but t3 should at least, at the very very least be the same heat as t2. It is harder and more challenging the rewards should be there for it.

Rewards are there

They're there. You either need to run T3 in order to get the 5* mats and recipes or you need to buy them off someone who has. If T3 had more crowns and heat than T2 then the value of 5* mats and gear relative to the player economy should drop significantly.
