I am mainly looking for none cosmetic gears.
Not sure how the weapons and armor compare to the other equivalent gears at 5 stars level.
Any recommendations? =)

You could get the Grintovec or the Shockburt Brandish Lines. I hear they're pretty good.
(I have a Shockburst Brandish, & comparing it to my Fireburst one, its good in some situations, like Fire theme Stratums.)
Mod Calibrators if you're thinking of getting a(few) Trinket Slot(s) to boost your weapon's performance.
Like any of the Bombhead Masks? Save up & get one if you want.(Course, there are better looking ones in Bribe Rewards, but they're VERY hard to get.)
If you're just not into any of the items, just get Mod Calibrators & sell 'em for profit, like what MicoTR said.
Other than that, I got nothing.
...Although...
Seeing how Krogmo has Lockdown & maybe a few other Games coming, there could be new rewards, so you could save up some Koins to get the new items before anyone else does.

Get the trinkets to improve
Get the trinkets to improve your current build. They are a better deal for immediate reward than upgrading armor since they require no heat to be fully effective. You also don't need to buy any recipes. (Takes 2 Mod Calibrators to get an Elite Module). Although you will need a trinket slot upgrade to use them.

If you like bombs....
The Electron Vortex is like a Graviton Vortex (sucks them in, then explodes) except that it is elemental instead of shadow. If you are in a Graveyard or any Construct or Undead themed depth it can be very helpful. If you don't want the bomb, you can still get the Electron Charge recipe; it does sell for a good sum (12-15k last I remember).

Only use Mod cals for resale.
Don't buy recipes if your thinking of resale, I made the mistake and they seem to be tagged as untradable items now.
Get mod calibrator.
