First off, my IGN is "Chris" and I didn't sign up on the forums until the public release.
So, I have been asking all of my fellow groundbreakers when they have joined, and to my suprise, I seem to be the oldest player I can find.
I signed up in march of 2010, and recieved my beta invite in early october of 2010.
I'm wondering if there are any players who have signed up earlier, or played at an earlier time?
There are a few.
Most of the people from 2009 and before is gone though.
Don't be impressed, Spilt... it was only because the game wouldn't let me be LordButts! It doesn't like that word lol.
I guess what made me stick around is how different this game is compared to all of the MMO's I've played. It's everything I've wanted in an MMO, and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon!

Arenanet is looking to fix everything wrong they perceive with the MMO genre, and if you do a little (or a lot) of research, you'll see they've put tons and tons of effort into it. I'm pretty stingy with my money, but after reading up on the game extensively, I know that paying 50/60 bucks for GW2 will be worth every penny!
I've heard about GW2! I'm totally going to look into it soon, almost everyone I know plays it, haha.
I've sunk a few years into the campaigns for the first game. The skill chaining and build combo system they use is by far the most entertaining method I've ever used.... but then again, I love Magic the Gathering.
Somewhere in '09. I believe I joined during the first preview event. Might have been the second; I am unsure, but it's around that area.

I started playing during the 2nd preview event, I think that was late 2009 or early 2010.
My IGN is Yukabacera now, but I took the username Lord during that time :P
