Energy prices have become very big! For beginners, too difficult to earn, the dungeon itself does not pay off at all (even at tier2)! It was lucky only to those who have seen the price of less than 4000, the others can not normally play! Those who first come to a game just to score on her with the words "anal Donut." Crafting does not pay at ALL even in AH!

In the end, I (not only) can play only one hour per day in this game (farm in dungeon), the rest is meaningless because of inflation. Earn Only those who crossed the border four tier long ago. Or Playing bomberman with very big lags to spend all your money....
No one of novice with tier 3 can normaly get tier 4 with such income of money and such prices....

Yeah, that IS stupid...

Its completely ridiculous the price of ce now. I saw some guy had put a wall of like 31 5900 cr posts as the cheapest. I could barely break even. And that was doing a t2 complete round minus the boss.

I'm having a hard enough time upgrading my 2* gear. Having to spend the money I JUST got to make gear that'll get me the SAME amount back isn't very attractive... especially when I could have gotten a LOT of money from using the ce to go clockworking instead of upgrading.

in beta, there were very few player. Before steam, the player levels were dropping fast at 7kcr per 100CE. I do not think it is good for the game/OOO to have players stop playing, just so that the demand for CE is kept in balance with the supply.

Energy prices are buy players. Somebody finally gets 1 mil crowns and spends it on CE via trade offers, saying they'll buy for say 7k CR, everyone will sell at that price. Don't believe me? Get a few of your friends to do it. Note-Has to be bought in BULK CE.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
I play on mist (even though I have a hefty amount of CE, which I saved up) and 100 mist is easily 2+ hours of play time... Granted, I generally join guild members at the terminal or after to run higher profit levels, but I get that amount of time and make 7k or more doing 100 ME worth of later t2 runs, and often in excess of 10k from t3 (I'm not sure how much MATERIALS bump it up, but from t3: a hell of a lot).

Play smarter. Do profitable depths: any arenas or levels beyond the terminal give a very large payout! An arena on depth 15 can give over 2.3k crowns straight up, and more if you get heavy gears/warp dust/bushy tails/ghost bells. NEVER revive using energy unless you're SURE it's worth it; I know too many who actually spend 20 CE or more to revive in early tier 3... If you have to revive a lot, then you shouldn't be progressing as quickly as you might like, quite frankly.

Crafting on it's own shouldn't net a profit. Materials and recipes are so ridiculously easy to collect, and crafting is as simple as having the materials and clicking a button. If it were profitable to sell plainly crafted items, I would be ALL OVER IT IN SECONDS, and so would every other smart person, until stuff is crafted so much that it is no longer profitable... Which leads to how it is now anyway. If you're crafting to sell, it only really functions as a form of gambling, for UVs. Then, the chances of you getting a valuable UV is so small that it doesn't even really matter that the average chances give you profit over time.

Also, what is your vision of how long it should take to progress from tier 2 to tier 3? Give your honest opinion.

FSC-D19-28 50 Min. 1 1/2 Hour Max if party is bad which in that case I will solo.

coughbullcrapcough. All it does is take longer since you have to grind for more crowns. The prices are steep, but completely reasonable. If they weren't, it wouldn't be that high to begin with. To me, it simply sounds like you're impatient and you're complaining that you can't get through the game as fast as you want to.

This guy, (^^^), has a very good point. I was smart enough to 1) figure this out durig my first T2 Jelly run, (the whole, join at terminal part), and 2) learn that mist is the most OP thing in the game. Got to love mist. ^_^ Just do as this wise man says, and the game does get enjoyable, it just takes awhile.

(Just to note why mist is OP, it makes the game free. :P)

Tier 1= 0*-1* gear.
Tier 2= 2*-3* gear.
Tier 3= 4*-5* gear.

You can't get Tier 4 gear, which means you must be talking about 4* gear. Soz for the correction but hey, someone has to speak up right?

And also, energy prices arn't caused my Three Rings. They are completey caused by the players. The more ce people buy with real money, the higher the prices get. Simple supply and demand. Back in the beggining of the game (good times, good times) the ce was so cheap because not many people bought ce with real money. As more players started playing, they bought ce and thus the prices went up. I wouldn't be surprised if the ce costed over 10k cr per 100 in few weeks, honestly.

Stop being impatient - and thats all it is - use your mist to aquire crystal energy and when you are waiting for your mist to charge, meet some people, go outside into the sun, maybe kick a ball about, do some chores for your parents (make some money buy some ce?) just get a life, its a game.

if you don't want to grind, buy CE with real money

there is no easy path to get awesome gear and cheap CE. if you want to play anytime without constraints, just pay for it with real money. you want to do it on the cheap; then grind it like everybody else. play only 1-2h a day. sit around and trade energy for 1-2h for a profit and use the profits to buy the 100 CE to go into the clockworks

i've played this game for 2 wks now; only spending for a starter pack after the 1st wk. i have 4* equip, and i have 5 mist tanks still and plenty of Crowns and CE.

I just don't spend it all in one place and the whine about making the game cheaper. I wait for opportunities.

The game has real world economics in effect. Take advantage of it.

6000 cr NOT normal! For one day i can only profit with all your wise comments around ~3000-4000 cr + some stuff and no CE. Recipe for armor 3* and below is useless and should be removed cause they simply do not profit what it cost and can be bought from poor crafters. Thats not real world, that JUST a game what took about month but not Years. Prices can not go lower.....how you realise that?

And yes, i can use only your stupid mist power for 1 hour of game ^_^, and yes it takes a years to get armor 4* stars ^_^ , and yes i have to earn 152000cr for upgraidin all my gear for 4* ^_^ even its risin up....and yes this stupid donat game so i leave.

Anyway, CE prices always fluctuate. What goes up, goes down. At the next patch CE prices will certainly variate again, that could be up again or down. 6000CR<>100CE is still OK. Besides, players are far less chained by the CE system since the release of PvP. And you still get 100 free Mist energy daily, which is quite gifted. Make friends, join guild, link yourself with other people to be constantly able to reach places such as Jelly King Palace starting from Depth 13-14. Real easy way to make tons of crowns! (and that's only one way)

As I just said, there IS NO "normal." Normal things are relative. The price of CE, because it is set by players, is arbitrary. It could be anything between 1000 crowns or 20 thousand. The price stabilizes at some plateaus, sure; but there is no "normal" price for CE in the grand scheme of things.

Also, you have no way of knowing whether the power surge weekend was the cause or just a correlative factor in the price jump, and you also have no way of knowing whether it will stabilize at 6k, keep going to 7k, or drop back down to 5k. All that is just conjecture.

The prices of CE is NOT arbitrary. If it were, someone is setting the price by dictum.

The price of CE is dictated by supply and demand of CE; as well as the cost of 'mining' Crowns through the elevator cost of CE.

The FAIR market value is going to be around (Avg Cr Yield of Avg Player + Value of Time + Value of Materials) / 100 CE. It will gravitate towards this price because if:

a) cost of CE is below this value, there will be a profit to be made. Assume CE Prices are 6000 and the value of going into the Clockworks, gathering Crowns + selling off minerals/materials is 7200. A reasonable player would the be able to buy 120 CEs, and then enter the Clockwork and do this perpetually until the cost of CE rises until it is no longer profitable to make this venture.

b) cost of CE is above this value, there is no longer value to entering the Clockwork. This means a reasonable player would not use the elevators; sit on their CE and not spend it. Demand for CE will fall; as demand falls, so will prices for CE until it falls low enough to encourage people to enter the Clockworks again.

This is how the economy works.

Players who complain about high energy prices are greedy and selfish. They want other players to pay for their entertainment.

When I got my license, paying more than $1 per gallon was unheard of. This summer it hit over $4 per gallon, and we're below the national average 99% of the time.

It's all supply and demand. Right now, demand is higher than supply. I don't really consider it inflation, because 100 CE still gets you the same number of elevators/crafting as it did a month ago.

That said, right now, there still aren't really enough crown sinks in the game, compared to energy sinks. Excess crown means buy energy, means energy is in demand, means prices rise. Blast network helped a bit, but the newness is gone from it, so a majority of people aren't sinking their crowns in the games anymore.

I've seen people say this but I don't know why it would be true. All that price means is that a reasonable player would not use more than 10 elevators a day. In theory you can still grind crowns and save up for multiple days to pay more.

Also, if the price is below the income from a run, it can still be relatively impractical to make continuous runs -- if you earn 5000cr on mist, then spend 4500cr on energy to make 5000cr from another run, your second run earned you 90% less than your first.

I really didn't separate my thoughts too well on that. I was mostly just musing on the ups and downs of the markets and how gasoline has done the same thing. Both markets have roller coastered for as long as I've been a part of them. Beyond that, I didn't have much comparison between the two. My apologies.

I still think it's more of a supply/demand issue combined with a crown sink vs. energy sink issue. I like the 5k benchmark, but I'm not too worked up about 5.8-6k. Do I buy less CE? Yeah, sure. But if I do buy 100ce, even at 6k I can still be self sufficient through smart play combined with selling mats and recipes.

Can I turn 100CE into 200CE by making 12k on every run? No. Can I turn 100CE into 100CE by making 6k crown per 100 energy? Almost always.

It means upgrades from 4* to 5* come slower (it takes awhile to profit 40-50k crown for the 800 energy), but I can still PLAY almost infinitely.

No. The point isn't the gasoline or distance but the cost. A dollar doesn't buy you as much gasoline as it used to because it has lost value.
