login as guest?
i tried this out of curiosity and got the error message "this computer has been used by a banned account and cannot be used to create new accounts."
now i did at one time have my account banned over a stupid paypal issue, but that was resolved. now is this a permant record thingy or should it have been reset?

If your ban was lifted off the account, there shouldn't be much issue doing the same for the machine.
